About as much as it proves what you are saying about Schenn??? Spin spin spin. - burn
That Schenn needs better coaching than he had under Ron Wilson?
Or maybe all of sudden you think Wilson was a great coach to have developed Schenn? |

Whitney is a pretty established player who was never scratched in his career before this year.
Was a leader for the Oilers and considered their top dman coming into this year.
His play has been lacking bigtime though. - robin_steele264
I'd say what he said is pretty self serving. IMO Ryan Whitney isn't anything that can't be scratched, especially if playing so poorly. |

6th in goals in in the League.... on pace for 30 goals in 48 games (50 in 82) but he's poopting on him?? Really, just proves how clueless he is. - burn
Yes and how many is Vanek on pace for?
Pro-rating is awesome.
Saying he doesn't go to the net enough.. right.
Never said that. Big surprise.

Wake up call for him.
But, if the highest paid player in the league can be scratched for a couple games, no one should be immune.

You called him a cementhead, and now he's a good young player who needs better coaching? That's quite the turnaround.... one might say spin. |

And the point I'm making is that what he has done in 13 games isn't completely unexpected. It's not like he's never been able to that before. He's always had skill and the ability to get hot for periods of time. What he hasn't shown yet is that he can do it for a full season. And that's the big question mark. That's the reason why he was available in the first place. That and whether or not he can use his size like he should. - Two_For_Truth
I get the consistency issue, my point was giving him his props at the moment, a positive post saying he is doing every thing asked of him. If he goes in a slump then you can bring up not being consistent. That is all I'm asking. Are you not pleased with his play at the moment? |

He's not doing everything yet. Still plays soft for a guy that big along the boards. He could and should be doing more in that regard. He's going to the net and finishing off goals. Most of them haven't been pretty but he's done that right at the moment. But like I said, having spurts of good play hasn't been his issue in the past. |

See, the problem is I never said that. I defended Schenn heavily. You called him a cementhead and a wasted pick at #5, now we shouldn't have made the trade?? Spin...
It's only spin if the that person said the opposite. |

Your act is old. Its obvious you hate the Leafs. Just find a new team and be done with it. We are all tired of your act. Its childish. You whine and female dog all day, provoke people and try to act all smart and high and mighty. You cite stats all day that support your points (which put a negative spin on EVERYTHING & are always out of context of the original discussion) & when people find stats or evidence to support or backup their claims (which often oppose yours), you say something to the tune of 'this is an exception, not the norm'. You are here to argue for the sake of arguing
Its an old act and we all see right through it. Have a good day. |

I said he isn't playing tough enough or big enough along the boards given his size. Didn't say anything about him not going to the net. |

Well there you go. Just goes to show......
When he was acquired he wasn't supposed to be that. He's a big skilled guy, who is young. that is what he has been.
But I guess 6th in goals in the league isn't good enough. |

I actually may tune into the Tampa/Montreal game. I feel like Stamkos actually might break Sittlers record tonight. - Leafland
Unbeliebable how that record has stood for 37 years, not even Gretzky or Lemieux broke it. I think they may have had a few 8 point games. Though I agree with u on how powerfully offensive TB is. With Stamkos, St. Louis, Vinnie & the rookie Conacher all blazing, one of them could have a chance at the record.
