Fraser now plus 11 !!

Something has to happen on D soon though with Gunner coming back and Gardiners eventual return. Good problem to have.

Also I don't think Reimer misses much time. Carlyle has zero to gain by playing down the injury.

- D.Lemieux

Nonis told him to downplay the injury - don't want to give Gillis leverage.

Ya cause no is allowed to question ice time when clearly the players were tired.

Orr scores a goal, McLaren lays out in front of a slap shot to block it in a 5-1 game, and the entire line does their job to perfection up until that point. This comes after they manhandled the Habs in a huge moral victory.

I don't know what makes you more foolish: questioning the 4th line or questioning Carlyle's coaching methods.

They were the best 4th line in hockey last night.

They earned their ice time.

Don't make me use the word "hate" which I will add a "z" on the end like the kids on the internet do these days.

- Atomic Wedgie

Oh they played great no doubt.
Just thought they were out there too long at the end.
Didn't mean to get the ladies panties in a bunch.

Reimer injured again eh. Has he even played a 100 NHL games yet?
JVR looked good again last night.
Fraser played decent.
I just dont understand we RC played the Orr line so much....you just knew they were gonna cost us goal in the last minute or so.
I really do enjoy Komorav.

- Fakepartofme

He plays the 4th line so much because they've proven to not be too big a liability in general. And at the end of the game up 5-1 there really wasn't much risk putting them out there and giving the top players a rest.

Sorry dont buy this. No chance Toronto trades for Lu. Van will want too much , injury played down or not. Not to mention it would be the absolute wrong decision for this club. If Reimer is gone for more than a month Nonis brings in a low cost short term solution via trade or one of the UFAs Mike mentioned.

And he's never wrong.

There was never a beginning...just you babies whining over an observation.
So sensitive.

If Reimer is out a few months don't you think it'd make sense to trade for Luongo and his 8 year (or whatever is left) contract?

Boy Carlyle actually seems to be enjoying himself a littel bit. a few laughs and smiles... What a difference between his tructure and Wilson's..Still feel Burkes biggest gaff was trusting Wilson so long.. Should have been long gone

Trade a late round draft pick for Clemmensen

Or sign Roloson.

Well, Carlyle wasnt available.

When he was fired, the Leafs were sitting in a playoff spot, so it didnt make sense to fire Wilson at the time.

Even if Reimer is out for the rest of the season....if there is a small chance of Lou coming to Toronto, it wont be until the summer. Teams would be foolish to trade for him now.
By the time August rolls around Gillis will be a nervous wreck if he still has Lou and Ginger on the team.
I just dont see Lou in TO.

I'm starting to think it's Schneider that will be traded.

Call someone up or sign a free agent I'd say. If they were already thinking about making a big move I do worry a bit that they might hurry it if he's out a while but I expect Nonis will play it smart.

Wilson probably should have been canned after that inexcusable disaster to start the 2009-10 season.

Didn't necessarily have to be Carlyle at the time. Wilson should have been gone in off season

Honestly, I've been thinking that might be the better option for a while now.
The return would be better...but I know Gillis would hate to do that.

Without Wilson the Leafs wouldn't have Rielly in their system. Meh. Could be worse.
