At this point, Dr. Uggie, I'd like to point out that Markov had surgery on his ACL.

Which is just a smidge different than a mild medial collateral ligament strain.

Your franchise boy, Giroux, was pretty invisible last night. Kessel was far more visible, in fact.

How could that have happened?

Could Phaneuf's 27 minutes of TOI have anything to do with that?

- Leeman4Gilmour

I don't know if you saw Kessel's rush in the 2nd period, but you could really tell he had stronger MCLs than Giroux.

Phaneuf did play well last night, I've got no complaints right now about this team. HOPE THEY KEEP IT UP!

I have to wait till Thursday for the next game? bullpoop.

Yup, the only way you can make an injury worse by coming back too early is if you previously had surgery on it. Excellent work. Guess that makes you the Surgeon General.

Was he a top 5 pick?
- Atomic Wedgie

He wasn't which is why I was surprised at the love fest....I asked him how a guy picked out of the top 3 could become Elite.
His answer, "when was the last time Toronto drafted a guy like him with a later pick."
We got 2ND OVERALL JVR, who when aquired was called a bust by Uggie and Brian Burke should be fired.....He got his wish Brian Burke was fired and like all things Uggie, in retrospect that looks to be turning out as a bad decision....Poor guy

MCL. Mild strain.

ACL. Surgery.

But apparently you already know that he's going to come back too early, because the neurologist who examined his knee doesn't know what he is doing. The neurologist who is the Leafs' team doctor.

Did you cheer a little when we went up 5-1 last night? I'm assuming you were alone, so there was nobody there to see a little smile that possibly crossed your face?

lol, wait this dude is UG? He still posts on here? hahaha. Ultimate troll. He's going to keep calling every move the Leafs do horrible, every player they give away is going to turn into a star if he's under the age of 27, and none of the current Leafs have any potential to be anything more than spare parts. That about sums it up, and I haven't seen him post in years.

I'll be holding a charity skate at the ACC at the end of February: Huggies for Uggie. Details to follow.

Well Giroux has played 13 games this year and hasn't done anything in his last 8.
Just saying......Maybe they should rip that "C" off his Jersey.....Maybe they should fire Holmgren....Trades Richards, Carter who now have cups....trade JVR for Schenn.
You should get a new alt Uggie and go troll the Fkyers....Couple more wins and your out of business here. Been along run though for you. 7 years.

Excellent work Surgeon General. But nobody directly compared the two. Just simply bringing up what happened to Markov.

He might, He might not. Never said that he would though. That was your assumption.

Phaneuf is Phaneuf.. What can i say? Sometimes he makes great plays.. And sometimes he gets beat on the first shift of the game. I think we would miss him if he was gone tho..
- Arctic_AARDVARK

He logs monster minutes; he's generally reliable, does not frequent the penalty box; he'll put up 40 points a year. He lands the odd big hit too and is always a threat physically. What's not to like? Is he worth 6.5M a year? Of course not, but I'd pay 5M to 5.5M for him easily.

Forgot to mention that if the Leafs start winning or make a good move, he just stops posting. I guarantee that he will never be around if/when the Leafs make the playoffs next, you won't see him until they lose. That's why it's utterly pointless to try and argue with the guy.

Phaneuf would be much more physical if not playing 27-30 minutes a night...Your right Phaneuf is doing just fine...
