Just for fun, we may also want to compare the severity of the strains.

Just for fun, we may also want to compare how well the Leafs doctors have been at diagnosing injuries with James Reimer. Remember how his concussion wasn't really a concussion and it was no big deal at first? And then it was.

Not a bad trade, Liles has to go to make room for Gards....like McArthur but he or Mike Brown are odd men out up front as of the way the teams playing.
- tmlfan17

No that's a bad trade.
Penner is useless...and the leafs have no room for him.

What the hell is going on in those hab threads?
- mykokes

Their mod told me to leave - not sure if he was serious orr not.

I came back an hour later, and he was leading the discussion about how all Leafs fans were biased.

Kinda hard to be an impartial judge at that point...

To be fair, brain injuries are a completely different story as it's almost impossible to have a "definite" diagnosis.

I'm guessing the neurologists won't be looking at his knee.

Sorry to take the cake away from your bitter party.

I like the Oiler blogs, sometimes visit ty's blog (bruins), Senators, Garth's blog. Oh and Nashville's. I just don't have the time for the Habs blog, way too many pages to sort through to find the right topic to discuss. That, and well, I just don't like the habs.

Atleast the team Dr's look at the leg before giving diagnosis, you just make diagnosis.

If we're talking about fair, how likely is it that the Leafs are going to announce that Reimer could be out three weeks when they could spin it a different way?

All I'm saying is that it's possible this injury lasts longer than just a week because clearly, it's happened before.

Or how ones brain will recover.

With that said, I think Reimers gone a lot longer then a week, he put zero weight on it, It looked bad.

The trade was more about getting Bernier and I figured a 2 time Stanley Cup winner who played a decent part in both was a good throw in for what we were offering.
I guess the Kings would be willing to just scoop up Liles salary without sending any back though.

How does the Leafs announcing a certain amount of time have any particular effect on how long he is actually out?

Why do you care?

He's out until he's back in.

If they say a week, and it ends up being 3 weeks, who cares?

Yeah, well the reports did say "at least a week". Who knows... knees can take a long time to recover

*thinks about Andrei Markov*
