Minimum one week. Kiprusoff was out one week with a 1st grade MCL strain. Then it changed to three.
- Two_For_Truth

Yeah I figure they'll be on the safe side and make it two weeks.

We've got enough offence that we just may be able to pull through until James returns. And let's hope there isn't pressure to bring him back too early.

We have a trip to Carolina,

We host Ottawa, a team missing its no. 1 centre, and is having trouble scoring

Then we get a trip down to florida. I know we don't play well in FLA but it's still two points this team can get.

And of course we usually spank Tampa

Strained MCL is good news.

Given time, it will heal. I was worried about the groin injury. We have seen how that can be really problematic and nagging and never really go away.

With everyone ranting and raving about the four game winning streak, you would think that nobody remembers (or chooses to forget) the Leafs opening seasons really well under Ron Wilson. Or winning four games under Ron Wilson. Granted, certain things have changed significantly in style of play but the Leafs have done this stuff under several coaches over the past 8 years and it usually ends up being the same story in the end.
- Two_For_Truth

You admitted that the game against Montreal was the most physical and competitive hockey the Leafs have played since at least 2007.

I'm not advocating party banners yet, just saying there is a noticeable difference in the atmosphere (more so than past '4 game win streaks'...)

Oh no man, we aren't forgetting at all. I've yet to see anyone here say yes, we're 8-5 without adding the words, I HOPE THEY KEEP IT UP

Joacim Eriksson. 22 year old prospect goaltender of the Flyers. Has played two solid seasons in the Elitserien. Probably could get him for next to nothing or pretty cheap.

Johan Gustafsson. 20 year old prospect of the Wild. Has also played two straight solid seasons in the Elitserien. Probably the same story on price tag.

just walk away from that guy

I've torn a few things over my years ....stretching it out was never my first reaction ....my first reaction was always (frank) off and don't touch me.

It looked like a strained knee or hammy.

- The Law

Static stretching is just about the worst thing you can do for muscles.

I don't know why NHL training staffs don't ban guys from doing it.

Jonas Siegel reports Reimer strained his MCL, gonna be out a least a week, then go from there.

So it was his knee after all. Must of buckled it while he was pushing across. poop

- t_leafs21

thats not so bad actually.

its just swollen then and hes having trouble moving it.

Ibprofin (spell check) and some ice with the leg up.

he shoudl be back 1.5-2 weeks. thats my guess.

The difference is that Ron Wilson was a mental midget that didn't believe in defence and they just pushed harder.. to cause more openings at the back..

Never seen so many tap ins on 3 to 10 wacks in my life...

This is Carlyle.. I expect them to compete more even when playing poorly.. no more repeatedly getting blown out.. they will have their games that they fail totally but those will be rare.. will they make the playoffs.. maybe not.. but the compete level is there.. and if they stay away from injuries.. should be a 500 club.. with more compete.

Let's try to get Dan Blackburn out of retirement for this week.

C'mon, we are going to lose the game against Carolina anyways - wouldn't it be cool to watch a goalie play with two blockers?

The biggest win over the Habs, yes. Against most other teams, over the rest of the season, it's yet to be seen. Atmosphere was pretty high at the start of last season. The Leafs have had spurts of success in the past, albeit with a different style but it's the consistency which never seems to stick.

I think Carolina is a big game.. they are not that good of a team.. but when the Leafs fall to perimeter play Carolina excels.. we will see if they have learned their lesson.

\Big Game Carolina is beatable.. especially on the road.

Pretty superficial reason to stay away from a player. That's as logical as passing on a goalie because he has a scar on his face.

3 Brighton area schools will host the biggest prize in Canadian Senior Lacrosse tomorrow.

Shawn Evans and Brad Self of the Canadian Champion Peterborough Lakers will escort the Mann Cup to Brighton Public School at 9. Spring Valley Public at 11 and East Northumberland Secondary at 1.

The Mann Cup visit is a lead-in to registration for the Northumberland-Nemesis Lacrosse League. Last year, 460 youngsters age 4-18 took part in the league and organizers expect that number to top 500 this year.
Registration will be held February 23rd from 10 til 1 and King Edward Park Arena.

4 wins in a row... haven't done that for a while... the compete level is higher that is all I care about.. they have been outshot.. and still stayed in it. Winnipeg is a monster at home.. were out played and still won..
