Linus Omark and Paajarvi.

Everybody gets to dump their extras.

When someone puts up a list and would rather have M.Carle, F.Tyutin, T.Gilbert and L.Schenn among others than Phaneuf, I really start to wonder about the registration requirements on this site.

Between Aquaman believing Kostka is an all-star and half of the Oilers fan base thinking Kessel is a third liner, they might actually settle on a reasonable middle ground.

So we're all cool with Franson as a regular in the line up?

Impressed me so far this season. Hopefully they can resign him to a fair deal before he can demand too much.

Carlyle got him to use his size more, he is much more effective in his own zone.

Phaneuf is such a polarizing guy. As much as everybody loves to hate him, he's a top pairing guy on any team in this league. A number one on easily half.

What's funny is Calgary deciding that they couldn't keep Regehr, Phaneuf, and JayBo and completely botching it.

He's been rather effective at both ends of the ice, which is what has impressed me the most. Carlyle has made everyone look better. Except probably a small select few.

Well if you look at our depth chart as of the last couple games.

Phaneuf Holzer

Liles Kostka

Fraser Franson

Gunnarsson(IR) Komisarek

Gardiner(AHL)

To take Gunnarsson off IR we have to make a roster move. Obviously, as most of you should know, you can only have 23 guys on your roster. Our 3 extras are eaten up by Komisarek,Steckel and Brown. Something is going to have to give. You would think it would be Fraser going out but he is making a serious case.

It's tough when you have 3 Marlies in your top 6 playing their hearts out every night. We may have to send Holzer back down because he doesn't have to clear waivers, just a numbers game. But even he is making a serious case as a stay at home d-man with Phaneuf. Then when Lupul comes back he'll have another decision to make. I'm liking McLaren a little better than Brown

I'ts going to be the one who the leafs will not loose on waiver and I think it's Holzer.

Steckel will most likely have to go at some point

Lupul Bozak Kessel

JVR Grabo Kulemin

Komarov Kadri Frattin

McLaren McClement Orr

Brown

Notice who doesn't fit in there when were healthy? MacArthur is a UFA in July and doesn't fit in the long term plans. You have to think theres only a matter of time til he's dealt for a draft pick or two.

Phaneuf Holzer

Liles Kostka

Fraser Franson

Gunnarsson Komisarek

In a shortened season, defense depth is key. There will be bumps and bruises. But, that would mean Gardiner will be staying down all season, burning his 2nd year of his 3 year Entry level. You have to think there comes a point when Nonis considers using the accelerated compliance buyout and just gets him out of there to open the roster spot.

Wow, buy out Gardiner?? are you dumb?

I think I might be the only one who would trade Gunnarsson.

I want him on the PP more. He doesn't try to murder the puck (and everyone in front of the puck) - he plays it smart.

I think he didn't make the point clear, he is talking about either Komisarek or Liles, maybe both.

Can anyone direct me to a site that has sortable scoring statistics for all players per season going back to the 1979-80 season? Basically I want to see where a couple of guys finished every year in scoring and goals scored, compared to the rest of the league.

The NHL site is fantastic, but it only goes back to 97-98.

Thanks in advance.

I would trade 80% of this roster if we could improve.
