it was 2 days ago.

datsyuk gets hit, beacuse he takes the hit like a man and moves the puck.

he broke his wrist just a couple seasons ago falling into boards - injury's happen, people get hit, its a contact sport.

Ankle that was pretty flukey in a fight. And a nagging shoulder from junior that hasn't been an issue since it was fixed.

I don't know if Hall or RNH are inherently injury prone, but there's no doubt that they are small players on an undersized team.

If you can't get size in the top six, you'll need a much better defense to compensate.

RNH gets hit too. But guys like him and dats avoid making it a common occurrence

You think Hall is small?

And the whole undersized team thing is silly. Show me the numbers.

Lets go Oilers team average height and weight vs the Leafs.

See the difference.

Good. He can play his value down in a contract year.

You don't remember the famous Jack Palance line (Curly) to Billy Crystal?

Yeah, the difference is that Smid may be big, but he's a softie.

Nobody on that roster punishes anybody. RNH and Hall are going to have to fight a lot of battles for themselves and it's going to put a lot of wear and tear on their bodies.

Oiler would be scouting Defense and tough guys. They have young talent, now they need good defense to cover there short comings. They also need grit and toughness to make the opposition stop from running and intimidating the young talent.

Meh. Undersized #2 center.

We still need a big #1, and Kadri is at least a #2. Then you've got Grabo somewhere in this mix.

Gagner is the definition of inflated numbers.

That being said, anything the Leafs trade away would be what they will need in the future. We do not have an abundance we are just nicely stocked.

6'1 190 is not exactly big.

i never said he plays small, i said he is small and he plays a hard nosed game.

which in my opinion - is why he's more likely to get hurt, who are his tough linemates digging deep? RNH?

It's just funny to me is all.

Hall... Small. Smid soft.

Kinda disingenuous to trash Cloutier for ridiculous stuff then swing just as hard the other way.

for sure, hall is a gamer and he plays hard and to win.

injuries happen to guys who play his type of hard nosed game...i just saw him other night have to leap over the net so he didnt eat the cross bar. its a war out there.
