If they move Bieksa it won't be until after the season is over or if they're out of the race, and I don't see that happening. - HonkFortheGoose
I was saying Bieksa, Hamhuis or Hjalmarsson for the offseason bc both Chicago & Vancouver are in big cap trouble
+/- doesn't worry me so much on a crappy team where just about everyone is a minus...
It doesn't mean you can't still get useful players that will help when in better surroundings
Guys like Giordano (even last year btw) and Smid may not be Seabrook or Weber, but they're a hell of a lot better defensively than Leopold or a washed up & injured Regehr |

I like high scoring, always have. Although watching 90's sabres wasn't bad with oustanding goaltending and guys like ray and barnaby pesting it up lol. - Smittyx36
I really enjoyed the way the kings played during their playoff run,
I thought the pens flyers series was a joke. Could barely call it hockey |

So, that means it doesn't matter that Myers, Leo and Sekera are all minus players right now? Because they're on a crappy team?
That logic makes absolutely no sense. At all.
It's apparently ok to be a bad player on a crappy team. Got it. |

Too small, but lots of speed and lots of talent. Would certainly open up some options with line formation - Putzfrau
Grigorenko and Armia are both 6'3 and over 200lbs
Ennis is the only guy in that group that could be considered small |

I don't think anyone is criticizing the top line, but after that there is nothing.
IMO the only one who should realistically be on a second line is ennis. As much as I like foligno his hands are like lead and stafford is obviously garbage. Grebe is borderline useless on a second line. Certain combinations of foligno/Leino/ennis/grigo I can live with, but there's nothing there i feel super confident with. - Putzfrau
I think you would be substantially happier with this...
Vanek-Hodgson-Pominville
Clowe-Ennis-Perry
Foligno-Grigorenko-Girgensons/Armia |

If CBJ pick first they will most likely take Mackinnon, If Florida or Wash pick first I could see Jones going 1st. I think it could go either way |

I'm a little scared that Girgensons isn't back from his concussion yet. That happened right after training camp started here. He's been out about 3 weeks now. And it's not his first one. |

He's a winger though
There's talk of McKinnon actually dropping out of the top5
I'd be surprised,
But a top guy seems to drop every year for one reason or another |

as someone that has had enough concussions in my lifetime but has never played hockey, i would think 3 weeks is fair. it could take a little while but he'll be fine. it could be that effects haven't worn off or that he needs to re-up his conditioning again, but i'm not worried. |

Believe it or not, Jones is the consensus #1 right now. Obviously there's still a lot of time for that to change, but MacKinnon didn't have a good WJC and Jones did. He's overtaken that top spot. For now at least. |

Hockeysfuture.com has him listed as a Center, though I thought he was a winger as well. But even still, he's the exact same size as MacKinnon. There's even only like a 3 pound weight difference. |

Yeah I should have been more clear. I used the word small but I should have really just said their all more finesse players. They seem to play small, dont have any physical component to their game, which isnt necessarily a bad thing. I just don't know if the three of them would work out as well as it seems on paper, but I'd certainly give it a shot.
I've also barely seen armia play, so... |

Yea I think Jones is better but CBJ needs scoring, plus they just drafted Murray, I wonder if they will trade out of the 1st spot........ |

I didn't know, so I looked, and it looks like they both play for Halifax. Not sure if they play on the same line though. I would think they do, but I don't know for sure. |
