I agree with you
As far as the defense goes,
The Flames should be in selling mode by the deadline
Get me Giordano
Then in the offseason, both Chicago & Vancouver are in cap hell...
I doubt we'd be able to pull something off for Seabrook,
But maybe Hjalmarsson, Bieksa or Hamhuis could all be had
Then next year our defense could look like:
Ehrhoff-Bieksa
Giordano-Myers
McNabb-Weber/Sulzer
Gets us much more balance on the backend instead of having 5 "offensive" minded guys out there on a nightly basis

You are on here daily blowing the horn for Giordano. You think that's what this defense needs right now, another offense-first defenseman?
Go get a Rob Scuderi-type, or a Marc Staal-type player (BEFORE I GET ANY BACKLASH, NOTICE I DIDN'T SAY "GO GET ROB SCUDERI AND/OR MARC STAAL"). What we need is a (couple) no-panic, defense-first, makes-a-great-first-pass defensema(e)n. Someone who can be the glue.
And we need the entire team to buy into playing defense. And that's on Ruff. If he can't get them to do it, then fire him.
If these two (Ruff/Regier) can't fix this (and my money's against them being able to), then they (or one of them) need to go. Maybe another year out of the playoffs will be enough to convince this ownership to force change.
