Pete what's Hank's record against the Bruins in Boston since he has come into the league? I know he plays extremely well there. I think we are looking at a close game 2-1 or even 1-0 game tonight. I think Hank is going to be tough to beat tonight. Just my gut feeling.

I hope so, Adam. I think if they win tonight, they'll be off to the races.

I don't have the exact quote, but apparently Brian Boyle said something pretty nasty about being benched, something about he hopes the team loses.

I believed he was on the path to be traded anyway, still believe that

I saw this one, but there is nothing really controversial about this. It's what you would expect a player to say. I still think the Rangers need to make sure that JT Miller is for real (in the short term) before trading Boyle, but I can see that determination being made soon, at which point Boyle becomes a logical trade candidate.

"I'm trying not to think about anything, really, honestly," said Boyle, who was bag skated by assistant coach Mike Sullivan along with fellow scratches Stu Bickel and Steve Eminger after the Rangers' morning skate at TD Garden. "I'm just trying to come work every day and work as hard as I can because it's ... I've said it before, I didn't play as well as I think I could've, but I know I can be a good player and effective player in this League and on this team. It's infuriating sitting out, it's awful. And it's [ticking] me off a lot."

if that's it, that's not bad, somebody said he said something about "hoping they lose" and that could have been made up by someone.

Nevertheless, I still think he'll be traded

There are fans who are ripping Torts for making him a healthy scratch, some fans really irritate the crap out of me, where has he earned playing time?

Brian Boyle played like complete crap every game this season.

A couple of really dumb penalties early in the season, and the team has played well since he has been benched and Rupp has been traded.

It's pretty simple

I'd like to explore a Hammer trade although Chicago has no reason to make a move , I'd like to get an expiring contract and pick rather than block the path of a kid like Lindberg or Mcilrath.

I don't know, I definitely think he has trade value though.

Just not sure what the target would be at this point.

We all say defense obviously, but right now there are 8 of them on the roster and Gilroy has played well.

I like the Hammer option, as we were discussing a few days ago with the Hawks fan. But, the Hawks are awesome and that dude eats minutes. Just think they would be stupid to trade him.

How about a guy like Dimitri Kulikov? Boyle and McIlrath for Kulikov? Not realistic?

Sign me up but I don't know Florida's thoughts on Kulikov.

They just signed him to almost the same exact deal as Del Zotto, but I know they were a little concerned that he was a flight risk. I think the shine has maybe come off him a little bit, but at the same time, I really don't know how much value McIlrath has around the league these days.

C'mon pete...I'd pick Mcilrath and Boyle and drive them to Florida to do that deal.

Still wondering what Dominic Moore's status is, he'd be a great fit and getting involved in a Cup run may be something help him mentally.

I really believe that whatever trades they do this in this short season will only be with Western Conference teams, unless it's a deal at the deadline with an Eastern team that is definitely out of it.

Hope Gilroy continues to play well so Bickel remains a scratch. I would think Torts goes with the same lineup as the Bolts game. Right?

Is Boyle for a 2nd unrealistic if it is to a desperate team?

San Jose has been scouting us, and just went into quite a losing streak and looked bad in Columbus last night.

I am sure they would want a savior like a Brian Boyle

They'd have a better chance with Brady Skjei then they do with McIlrath.

Honestly Boyles value is minimal. Theres no way Florida move's Kulikov.

Babchuk is a really good option, but hes still only 28 and not your typical rental. Hes got some significant value with that shot from the blue line he has.

I just don't think the Rangers would trade depth for picks right now.
