Not really. Half of the discussion was glucky talking about trading MacA for a 2nd rounder now and placing brown there...

The other half was UG talking about trading MacA when Lupul comes back and playing Brown there when needed.

My point was/is that in either scenario, MacA shouldn't be traded (provided they keep playing the way they are), and Brown shouldn't be playing on the 3rd line. Both pretty reasonable conclusions that will likely occur.

exactly, i don't think we see a move until Lupul comes back. the current line up looks amazing, but won't all year, it's good to have a guy like brown who can skate like the wind and mix it up a little. what TO really needs is a tucker or roberts type who can do all that and score 20+ goals, preferably a center but we'd need to overpay for sure those are the in demand guys, always have been.

Agreed I am with you on that... also think once Lupul comes back Mac will be expendable in a trade.. hopefully he gets some more points and adds to his value...

The qualifier we should have to this discussion is: should we be talking about what the team SHOULD do...or what they WILL do.

I think they SHOULD trade macA at the deadline. And you can probably get more than just a 2nd for him.

I think they WILL try to resign him if the team continues to grow and improve.

I'd like to see a big body defensive guy with Kadri and Frattin.


Brown was the first guy that came to mind, but McClement would be good too.

I just don't think MacA brings much offense, and I think the defense/intimidation one of those other guys would bring could be a bigger help to the team, and that line.

JVR and Kadri looked good early I think. Put Lup-Boz-Kes, JVR-Kad-Fra, and Kom-Gra-Kul ...meh, we've got 3 or 4 weeks to get this all figured out.
