Are there any teams willing to give up a 2nd?
- Arctic_AARDVARK

I would imagine at least a 2nd. Sabres got a 1st for Gaustad last year.

I could see a late 1st if a top team needs some depth

fair enough, but move him at the deadline then.. not now.. brown can rotate in and out on the 4th.. move mac once lupul is back

moving mac now doesnt make sense if you are looking for a nice return, will get a far nicer deal closer to april 5th.. and by then lupul should be back as well.

brown can hang out in the press box and rotate with mcclaren and orr

Yuppers ...I think that's all Uggie, Glucky and I ((frank) that'd be a great band) were suggesting.

Yes, because 13 games is the same as 48. Or 82. If it doesn't happen in 13 games, it can't ever happen. Outstanding logic.

Facts are facts, and they're unfortunately unavoidable. No rat has gotten off on us this year...and we've faced our share of them.

There is absolutely no reason to think that trend will reverse. Buy why am I not surprised you're arguing yet another losing battle.

And we've faced about half of the ones in the East within the first 13 games.

And 0 of them have gotten off on us...

Sorry, had to finally answer the question you were avoiding.

Yup, 13 games is as good as a full season. Same thing. What ever happens in 13 games is exactly how it will go down for the rest of the season. Forever.

Well how about we save this Brown on the 3rd line talk until a NEW TREND emerges?

Because as of right now, our toughness is just fine, and it doesn't seem like the rats are taking over.

I'd like to see a big body defensive guy with Kadri and Frattin.

Brown was the first guy that came to mind, but McClement would be good too.

I just don't think MacA brings much offense, and I think the defense/intimidation one of those other guys would bring could be a bigger help to the team, and that line.

But even if he is traded when Lupul comes back (which I highly doubt if they continue to play like this), that doesn't mean Brown or McClement should be playing on the 3rd line.

oh ya he'll go, but that doesn't mean he's looking forward to it either...

I'd lay money he takes on Faser if he can help it though...

MacA has good hands around the net.. That pass he one timed tonight was pretty sweet. A lot of guys would miss that.

Not really. Half of the discussion was glucky talking about trading MacA for a 2nd rounder now and placing brown there...

The other half was UG talking about trading MacA when Lupul comes back and playing Brown there when needed.

My point was/is that in either scenario, MacA shouldn't be traded (provided they keep playing the way they are), and Brown shouldn't be playing on the 3rd line. Both pretty reasonable conclusions that will likely occur.

All these years people have been mad at Burke for not finding a top-line C, when he's just been developing.
- Feeling Glucky?

Too bad Burke didn't know he had a bad coach till it was too late. Guy built a hell of an exciting team.

Agreed I am with you on that... also think once Lupul comes back Mac will be expendable in a trade.. hopefully he gets some more points and adds to his value...
