U see that as an accomplishment by him at that point in the game??
- Fruitcakenipple

Not the point. Point is that guys like that can sometimes accomplish stuff like that in much closer games.

Rats try to distract good players by agitating them and getting them to do something stupid. A guy like Brown negates that because instead of the rat being on the ice trying to agitate a talented player (like Kadri or Frattin for example), Brown, who can take a regular shift because he can both skate and hit, gets in the way.

Nobody is saying that Brown is a permanent 3rd line player. In fact, if he's in the lineup, he should play most of his time on the 4th line while a guy like McClement plays on the 3rd line. But Brown can also take a regular shift if the situation calls for it. He's not as limited as a guy like Orr who can't play a regular shift on most nights.

- Two_For_Truth

Phuq off, Orr scores goals and has Kadri-like hands now.

Also, this argument is horsepoop. That rat player won't be taking liberties with Orr et al who said rat is clearly afraid of.

Brown? Big deal. Rat isn't fearing him at all.

Anyway, I'll watch you argue your incorrect point for the next 7 pages and lolz along with everyone else.

Not to mention, I don't think Orr would have any problem taking the instigator and filling a rat to set the mood.
- Pen15

I think it's a mistake to assume Orr and McLaren will crash and bang all year and stay 100% healthy.

You've gotta keep Brown and rotate the three goons in and out.

Brown can take faceoffs, from what I recall. McClement taking faceoffs for the 3rd line, and Kadri playing center from there sounds pretty good.

You can't play McClement on the 3rd with Kadri already at C.

MacA is the best option right now...the line dominated...he had a nice finish tonight...let it go.

I don't think Brown has the hockey IQ of Komarov, or the finish of MacA. IMO, that makes Kadri & Frattin have to work harder for their chances, given that they have a guy that lacks those skills.

IMO, this team has more than enough toughness throughout the lineup (D and F). I also liked the dominance shown by the Kadri line tonight...and MacA contributed to that. If it were me, I'd keep the line in tact until they either run out of steam, or Lupul gets back.

- Pen15

I feel that Mac killed a lot of their momentum tonight- sure he scored, and it was a nice goal, but he had plenty of giveaways, as well.

Why would you dwarf Kadri's opportunity to develop further by taking his share of faceoffs?

That's a part of his game he needs to develop, but he never will if he doesn't get the opportunity.

Isn't it nice to see two guys in Frattin and Kadri getting great scoring chances every game? It has been a while to have a couple of our own picks succeeding.

Rats sometimes play 10 to 15 minutes a night. How often does Colton "Bobby" Orr play that much?

How many rats have had their way with this team this year?

You're massively overvaluing their impact to a team built on toughness through D and out.

don;t like that.
Kadri's steadily improving. Only way he gets better is doing it against variety of opposotion.

that said, don't mind McClement there for D zones when not going well...
