Fully agreed but I hate how Toronto media always focus on the negatives.. they started with the lousy goaltending tandem, when that didn't work they found the Kessel not scoring angle.. even though he was playing well... then now that that is done.. they are onto our home record.. and I am sure the PP will be next...

But yet stats like I just posted are staring them in the face.. usually winning teams even if their records start poor usually have a good Goals Against/ Goals For Ratio.. and the Leafs clearly do.. even though they haven't played exceptionally well bar the game versus the Pens or the Habs slaughtering..

I see it as they are headed in the right direction.. of course they still have to learn and correct issues..

yup agreed.

who knew that playing a tougher lineup and giving the kids real minutes might work out?

not 75% of the fanbase.. thats for sure

He was also given antibiotics, in case Grabovitis sets in.
- LeafMan

He could use a case of that.

does anyone find it amusing that pacioretty claimed to get a tetanus shot after the supposed bite?

those things are good for ten years ffs. how could the habs medical staff not be aware he wasnt caught up on one of the most basic of shots?

just thought i would point that out. by claiming he need the shot we could basically assume that the habs medical staff wasnt caught up on his medical records

- Dozzer

This is an interesting take. I would think that for a hockey player, having tetanus shots up to date would be very important.

I did.. Montreal Gazette got some snapshots of his visit to the hospital.. they took all precautions because they know he is wussy.

i get one every ten years.

Really?

Last one I got was in about 1994 - after I decided to take a little bit of thumb off while cutting a hockey stick with my grandfather's 70 year old saw.

I tend to not use the old OHIP card unless I have to.

i actually will be due for one again in two years.

I still have my original Ohip card, the red and white one. It is like 40 years old now and completely falling apart. The tape holding stuff together is all old and yellow. It is gross. The receptionists love when you hand them a card like that.

I am pretty sure in my last physical I was given some combination vaccination.

I was disappointed that my female doctor had really small fingers though

they are supposed to do that

i have never heard of someone only getting one when they need it.. its supposed to be a preventative measure, not a response.

I have always been pro youth I think you need a mixture of youth on all 4 lines.. mixed in with some great veterans to win.. I think that used to be the Avs, Wings, & some other teams winning recipes that is why it was so tough for me the last decade or so.. watching the young guys not being developed properly.

Antropov back in the day was on the Marlies with first line minutes and PP time and then would be forced to play with Domi & Belak for 6 mins and would get benched as soon as Domi coughed up a goal..

The Leafs this year are improving that a lot of credit has to go to Carlyle and Nonis for this.

I try to be honest with everyone, if someone PM's me and asks for clarification on their ban and is respectful, I will give the time of day to get answers for them, if they attack me (even if I did not ban someone, which happens a lot) they get additional time added on depending how bad the attack is.

Anyone here that has sent me a PM will probably know this.

- LeafMan

definitely true.

HB has been a much healthier place (for the most part) since this gentleman became a ref. Actually since both LeafMan and Dozzer 'assumed the throne".
Angie turned the ship in the right direction.... these two have resulted in a more fun place to be...

except when the spineless west coast weenies come in spewing Luongo for 3 firsts and second show up.

I honestly don't get how people get so worked up and try so hard that they get banned they realize this the Internet not a bar where someone pushed your girlfriend.

still got mine to... take it apart carefully and re-tape it with clear packing tape - both sides... it will last forever.

just like Saturday's ass-whooping... all hail you tube.

Has it been confirmed yet that Pacioretty has had both arms amputated because of fear of rabbies?

thats why i dont mind the lupul signing.

perfect leader (when he isnt hurt) to help groom the constant barrage of young guys we are likely to see over the next couple of years.

and i like who they brought up.. need a fourth liner? fine, get a fourth liner.. dont bring up colborne to play in that role so to speak

need gritty d-men? bring one or two up and send one of the slew of PMDs down to get better minutes.

this is the type of thing that makes the bottom 6 guys and hard nosed d-men and grinders in the AHL realize that there is a chance for them.. and they will play harder.
