I remember when the CBJ entered the league. I sent them an email wishing them luck. I got a reply back thanking for the kind words. Always had a soft spot for them ever since. Classy move replying to someone that wont be a part of their constant financial support.

To be honest people involved in the sport of hockey tend to be very gracious with their time. I took a class once and as part of a final project I reached out to pro hockey organizations trying to get an interview a member of their respective front offices. Obviously I started in the minor pro leagues thinking I'd have better luck there but since I live in So Cal I also reached out to Anaheim and LA. To my surprise they actually responded. I got a chance to talk with David McNab, the assistant GM with the Ducks. In fact, he called me one night while on the road in Columbus to set up a time to talk with me. These guys are genuinely nice guys.

Nice job again Glen. Dubi and Foligno killing me in a deep league.

Thanks Jan. I bet you're scouring the waiver wire every day looking for a beter option than those two. They are getting shots but Dubi looks eerily similar to the player he was last year when he couldn't buy a goal. His overall game is solid so the lack of scoring isn't hurting him there but man, is he ever fighting it right now. Foligno was close on two or three occassions last night and should get it going a bit when he finally pots one.

Yeah, cursing at Dubi, he is definitely snakebit. I had Foligno as a sleeper, so far, I am way offbase there.

Not necessarily; he's just still sleeping. The whole team is really struggling offensively. They just lack the skill to score goals consistently. They have to work hard for just about ever scoring chance. It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to see the Jackets end up with the #1 pick so they can grab Mackinnon. They need some top shelf skill badly.

Bummer. Here I was ready to talk Jackets hockey with you and I wasn't able. Great win tonight. Dubi with a great game. Mason struggled at times but made some good saves too. Nice to get a win tongiht.

I'm sure one of the geeks on here will go look it up, but for watching the CBJ over the last couple of seasons, Dubnyk always plays them tough.

This is probably the team's 3rd best effort of the season, despite the loss. The win tonight over San Jose has to be the best. The 2nd was the win over Detroit. Despite being outshot in all 3 periods, they really looked dynamite in the 2nd & 3rd periods. The problem they had in this game was the same problem they had in the Calgary game. Once they manage to tie the score, they become so hell-bent on winning, they seem to forget they could lose by making fundamental mistakes.
