They have some quality prospects, and they have 3 1st round picks this year, and John Davidson knows his poop. That franchise is in good shape for a GM to put together a decent future.

They have a prospect projected to be a top-line player on every position except G. This draft should really bolster that depth, they may actually be pretty good in 2-3 seasons. They should have a massive firesale, this draft is exceptional.
If they can get 4 1st rounders with JD at the helm, the fan base may not just continue to put together fantasy college football draft sheets.

Talbot assumed the defensive duties of the C so that Geno could play offense, &c. He wants $4M a year and the Avs apparently want a good prospect and a roster player, position unknown.

If you think Henrik's numbers will be so strong that you can overcome Phaneuf's head to head stat spread vs. Michalek then do it. Ryan will have better value than Letang.

I'm suspicious. I wouldn't give up Letang. But this is a pretty good package with Lundqvist/Ryan. Phaneuf suxs.

Would you rather have a pretty solid defensive, 2-way guy handling the coverage and the super dynamic offensive player focus on turning the puck over and taking outlet passes? Geno can still take face-offs if he so chooses but he's not the good at it.
