Where are your facts to back up this arguement. SO by what you say no team makes money so its a sport that you loose money no matter what?
- hubie

Depends on how you send the $$$. Think of all those fat signing bonuses he has paid out and all of those "upgrades" that all the fans wanted, the 50% discount on the fan store. The $$$ he has to pay his coaching and administrative staff. By my estimation it is a zero sum game if your spending like Pegula. Golisano wanted a no-loss business model, you see what happened there. If he was zero-loss, imagine Pegulas bottom line.

Why do I have to dig up facts to prove something widley known? Just because you dont pay attention doesnt mean Im going to sit here and prove everything to you. Its wideley known, they are losing money. They have the 23rd lowest ticket prices and at one point last year peaked at the highest payroll. Do the math yourself genius.

it's safe to say if Tom was not making money the last few years, Peggy is not making money after dishing out those huge bonuses to Myers, Hoff and Leino
esp. since he is spending much more money per season on salary as well

League laughing at Buffalo:

08:17 AM ET 02.11 | When Terry Pegula purchased the Sabres, he also, largely by way of his great business successes, also bought the franchise hope from so many corners. They also said he would restore credibility. And they were wrong. High-ranking people from across the league are laughing at the Sabres, just as they did last year after the season turned ugly. What people, you ask? Sorry, but their names will remain private. ... [The] general opinion from a wide range of hockey minds -- general managers, scouts, agents, league officials, former players -- is that Pegula's success in the real world means almost nothing in the sports world. Most are stunned Darcy Regier and Lindy Ruff have survived when common sense called for their dismissal long ago.

Ryan Miller.... 2nd in the NHL in saves. 28th in GAA, 16th in Sv %. I think it's fair to say he's nowhere near our problem.

Leggio is the truth..

Leggio is not an NHL goalie . Does not control rebounds well enough . In the NHL those big fat rebounds he gives up will be in the back of the net

Is Kassian still on pace to score the 40 goals you said he could get? Or did he disappear as predicted?

Bottom line is that Ryan Miller has stolen 3 wins this year already. Without his strong play where would Buffalo be?

Thank you, this is exactally how I (frank)ing feel. I'm sick of being slammed for it! No one fears playing Lindy Ruff and the Buffalo Sabres. NO ONE! Its just another day at the office. Previously we were an underdog team on a budget that scrapped and clawed for everything they got. Teams hated playing us because of it. Now they are so so soft. Only Columbus, IMO is a weaker NHL franchise.

But why is it ok for you to continue to pay for a crap product, but it's not ok for season ticket holders? You do see how it's the same concept right?
- HonkFortheGoose

2 totally different things, if the fans don't go not only do they not make money on tickets but they don't sell merchandise, food or drinks.

NEWS FLASH................ If you really think Sabres management and owner care about that you are sadly mistaken, they can care less. They will run this team the way they want to run it and if you or anyone else doesn't like it, To bad.

I think more to the point, the only thing you can hurt is Terry's feelings to get change. Its a bizarre siutuation because he doesnt care about money. He planned to lose the money. I think it would bother him 10 times more that people werent buying merchandise not because he isnt making a profit, but because people dont love his product.

So you would rather hear Kevin Sylvester defend Ruff and constantly ask "who are you going to replace him with?" I give Bucky credit for writing these pieces for the past couple years. My only issue with him is when he tries to play GM for a day. Even Darcy probably reads that and says you have no idea what it takes to get some of the players that we need. The organization deserves all the bad publicity it's getting right now hands down. And when they finally fire R & R 5 years from now and we're back at the very same place we are right now maybe people will give Bucky some type of credit.

Which would make perfect sense if he was a cheapskate who refused to spend on the team. That would suck, but at least we would be able to wrap our heads around that idea. The idea of what is going on now with Ruff, Regeir and our 28th place team? (frank)ing mind boggling.
