Has any member of the Buffalo sports media attempted to get Terry Pegula on the line since this season began? I'd love to hear his rationalization for keeping this head coach.

Not that I don't believe that every player on the team hates Ruff, but in 7 years posting here, I've not come across one person w/a "credible source." I've seen a lot of people claim a lot of things, but I've never seen a source yet.

I was given the lineup by someone that posts on here for yesterday's game immediately following the Isles game on Saturday. It was even said that Ellis would be going on waivers. So believe what you want, but there is someone around here that has some inside info.

For some reason I thought he was a little older. I was looking through my program at the game yesterday and saw he was born in 84. So, he's 28/29. I've heard that he doesn't want to be traded because he likes it here in Buffalo, but I guess he doesn't like the coach. My guess would be he'd rather play for a crappy coach and live in a city he likes than vice versa.

To me that speaks to one thing: everybody in the organization (from the GM to the last player on the bench) is comfortable with losing. Why, if you're Leopold or any other player, would you want to go to another team where you'll be held accountable for your play/coaching/personnel decisions?

trade every player over 25 for picks/prospects with the exception of hoff, sulzer, ott, scott, and kaleta

then we might be good in 3 years

otherwise we will just be hanging around 13th-7th in the east for the next decade

Pegula? No, I don't. I think he'd be forced to reevaluate his stance if he were confronted with the abject failure of it. You don't become a billionaire because you're stupid.

usually a new owner has his boys in key positions within 18 months

keeping regier and ruff was a big mistake IMO

I get that he is a fan first, but I find it hard to believe he can't see what we have seen for the last 6 seasons

Which is exactly why I'd like to hear the man questioned directly. He'd have to come up with an answer other than, "Lindy ain't going anywhere."

He has seen it. He just thinks the reason for their failure was previous ownership. It's an ego thing, similar to a coach trying to resurrect a broken player: so he can be the one to say that he did it.

Accountability starts at the top. If your organization is devoid of it at the top, you'll never have it at the bottom

I would hope that no journalist would allow him to get away with passing the buck like that.

They all do, because it would be career suicide to directly confront him.

team has given up the most goals in the nhl, and not only are we behind in the playoff hunt point wise, the teams we have to chase have games in hand

at some point doesn't a move have to be made to fix this D?

Per Bucky Gleason, Pegula has declined all interview requests since the beginning of the season.

Thats totally wrong. He's losing money, intentionally. So don't think he's up there laughing all the way to the bank. He's down probably 10 million in loses not counting the purchase of the team.

To me that translates to: Terry has decided this is who he is going with for whatever period of time he pre-determined. He never imagined things would go this bad and he doesnt feel like dealing with the public at large to answer questions about it.

If things dont get better and he refuses to do anything about it, he's going to become a recluse like Howard Hughes.

Sorry but when a team is at 95+ % capacity sold millions in a week, hes made plenty of money on the team. Not to mention the money he receives from the Bandits and other events at the arena.

The costs of running a team increase at a faster rate than tickets do. It's very possible to sell out every game and still lose money. In fact, it happens often, because ticket sales are no longer the main revenue driver in professional sports.

You point is pointless. It is widely known that the Sabres are losing money under Pegula. Even if he's making a profit counting the Sabres and other revenue streams its nothing compared to what the guy is sitting on.

He's not in this to make money. What he is in this for??? I dont know. My guess is unabated acess to his hero and man crush Lindy Ruff.

Where are your facts to back up this arguement. SO by what you say no team makes money so its a sport that you loose money no matter what?

Why do I have to dig up facts to prove something widley known? Just because you dont pay attention doesnt mean Im going to sit here and prove everything to you. Its wideley known, they are losing money. They have the 23rd lowest ticket prices and at one point last year peaked at the highest payroll. Do the math yourself genius.
