Haha. The incompetence of NHL officials continues. - sanfordnson
As impartially as I can be I wasn't sure on that either. The official was in a good spot and was definitive in his call. Hard to say it was a goal even with the replay.

Do you think we have that kinda luck to get the call??? Not likely. - ruttager17
On the flip side, if that was ruled a goal on the ice then it would have remained a goal on the review as well. I just couldn't see it clearly one way or the other on the replay.

Meh, it was pretty tight. Cant' be too upset about that. Actually looks like the blade of his stick pointing up may have made contact above the crossbar. No point dwelling on this when we have the missed offside call against Dallas last week and the crease contact with Dubey in Calgary that should have been waved off.

A little late but did you think the ref should have called Dorsett for slashing when he poked the puck out from under Dubnyk's glove?

If it were another player maybe, but a gug like Dorsett will get calls like that because of tbe game he plays. Gotta whack a goalies glove pretty hard to knock it loose that hard too.

Absolutely. They call guys when they bump the goalie for interference, if a goalie has the pucked covered clearly for getting a whistle and a guy hammers it out, gotta call that. Plus it's Dorsett so not exactly a player that gets the benefit of the doubt with as many PIM's as he has.

He was skating pretty hard which added to the impact. But you probably have a point about Dorsett's rep playing a part in that.
Gotta give Dubnyk some credit. He's played very well. He moves side to side well, plays positionally solid and keeps himself under control. I'm impressed.
On the other hand, Bob tends to make the first save but take himself out of position to do it.
