i thought concerts were for pushing and sweating and smoking and yelling?

all the concerts i go to are full of all those things. and sometimes blood.

why i dont really go to shows anymore. just not in the mood to get punched by strangers.

That type of stuff isn't really my thing. I don't smoke. I choose not to. If I wanted to kill myself, I'd find a more fun way of doing it. I don't need other people to make that decision for me.

I never understood the point of mosh pits. I stay as far away from them as possible. This concert wasn't the type that has them though, so that wasn't the problem. The pushing was just people who felt the need to get beer every 5 minutes and then proceeded to keep pushing back into the middle of the crowd. If you want to drink that much, stay to the outside. Some people were actually trying to enjoy the show. Not move every 5 mins so someone else could drink themselves into an oblivion.

Smoking(cigs or pot) at concerts is inevitable.

I didn't have that problem in Binghamton. But that was an arena show.

I'm a fan of theirs on facebook. That's how I knew they were touring. I just happened to take a look at where they were gonna be. Originally the tour was a short thing. Like 17 cities. That's when we bought the tickets to the show in Binghamton. Then about a month ago they decided to extend the tour. I saw they were gonna be in Erie, PA and Rochester. Unfortunately the Erie show was on a Tuesday night. That's tough with work.

As am I.....I had seen the original list but I didn't realize they added shows. Oh well...I'm sure I'll have more chances to see them.

But if someone tried to light up at a Sabres game, they'd be kicked out. I don't understand why it's acceptable at one type of event, but not another.

That's the difference though.

Hockey = family atmosphere.

Concerts = people that want to drink and do drugs.

i can totally understand where you are coming from, and for the most part i agree. why i choose not to go anymore. the massive rude mobs of sweaty people just isn't as appealing as it once was.

I always get a good chuckle at Darien Lake concerts because it never fails that there's always some girl in the bathroom so drunk she's pretty much drowning in one of the toilets. Places like that though don't get to me as much because it's outside, so the smoking and all of that isn't right in my face.

I think I'm just really pissed that now I have to take my coat and get it dry cleaned. It smells like an ashtray full of stale cigarette butts.

I was there. This team was out of gas by the midppoint of the 2nd period.
The penalties and the penalty kill took a toll on the team last night.
Dont know what the penalties were but a 5 on 3 and it seemed everytime my wife and I turned around a Sabre was in the box.
Miller was a beast again.
Kaleta beat down Campbell , after that I could see the Bruins wanted no more of the Sabres when it came to fighting.
Thornton grabbed Scott a couple times from behind around the Boston net , Scott turned around and almost felt sorry for Thornton to say dude , do I have to concuss you again? Thornton looked like please dont hit me Mr Scott.
Bruins lucky to catch the Sabres on a back to back night while resting for 3. If not the outcome would have different in my opinion. Sabres simply ran out of gas.

I made it through 2 periods.. Got bored and watched a movie.

At least my 50 bucks for center ice isn't a total waste. I watch other quality teams play. Amazing how much better most teams are than the Sabres. Actually holding teams to less than 30 shots!!!!!! Wow.. Amazing.

I saw my first game in 1976 (2-2 tie with Vancouver. Cesar Maniago was their goalie)... Anyway......

I can't remember the last time I've seen a Buffalo defense so bottled up in their own end for such long periods of time. What happened ? This happened literally overnight ? I've always seen bad stretches where for a game or three they just get shell-shocked but last night took the cake. Boston was toying with them shift after shift or so it seemed.

The players are the same... Is this coaching ?

2nd problem. Power Play.. McCutcheon is gone. Who is coaching the PP ? Aside from Vanek there is noone on the team that has the hands or creativity to maintain puck possession in the offensive zone..

Aside from Vanek, Pommer and Miller (and some nights he's debatable) blow this thing up and start over..

You're crazy. Boston absolutely STEAMROLLED Buffalo for practically the entire game. The only positives were Miller played really well and Kaleta gave Campbell a lesson that he actually CAN and will fight.

Not crazy my friend.
The first period was not that bad they still had their legs.
By the mid point of the 2nd period the Sabres looked a step slower which is a product of playing back to backers and the other team resting for 3 days.
I know a lot of people just want to disregard that but the rested team does have an advantage no matter what.
I know the Sabres have been a grease fire in their own end but last night in my honest opinion the Sabres were simply a victim of the schedule. Not enough in the tank when they needed it.

You made it further.....got through the 1st and my buddy and I decided it'd be more fun to play Black Ops. They are just brutal to watch, can't remember too many times where I could care less what they're doing like I do now.

Steamrolled???
Which game were you watching???
They simply ran out of gas.
We also missed some chances to score early. ( Foligno and Gerbe)
Also, penalties ultimately ruined our chances of getting at least one point.
Miller was great again.
I am already looking forward to this Friday's rematch.
