What about Malkin?

Literally just gonna say that, I would kill to have that guy.

Not to be a homer but there's only two people I'd want over JT right now, Stamkos and Crybaby

What about Malkin?

This is where my original comment about Malkin was supposed to go.

To Islanders
Hemsky
Whitney
Both 2nd's in 2013

To Oilers
Niederieter
Nelson
De Haan

- HitmanKiller12

Totally not happening. Nyi won't take on all that salary even though Whitney is ufa. To some fans, hemsky is prob only worth de Haan, and the other two other picks aren't worth Nelson and nino IMO. Whitney provides little value in this trade for a team like nyi.

Just a hunch, but if he hits UFA he goes to Islanders/Brooklyn. 7 yrs 12 per. Somebody for the new arena

It seems that the oilers (players) don't wanna win. It seems they don't show enough emotions during the game and don't try as hard as they should. They might need few players to change that.

I want players that will take a punch, take a hit, block a shot, give a hit and bust their ass and do anything in their power to win the game.

Even when the team was full with no injuries it didn`t seem as if the vets showed this. I`m disapointed in Horc and Smyth. More players need to play the way Harti is. Seems that kid is busting his ass every shift. Energy is what the oilers are in need of

I earlier suggested moving Yaks for the Schenn boys. They need some high end grit

EDIT: Quoted the wrong person.

He's close but I love the fire JT plays with. He wants to win and in the off-season he works hard to get better

That and a coach who has the balls/common sense to implement a system/form an identity. Players seem confused as (frank), because they're just that... Confused as (frank). They're constantly adapting to accommodate other teams' skills. I'm sick of adapting to play other teams' styles... STOP IT! STOP IT! The moment our coaches realize that we have enough skill to form a successful system, is the moment we'll turn things around... Until that time, get used to sucking, or mediocrity at best.

Krueger gets an F so far.

Some of the problem is roster make up. All your star players are kids. Nobody to grab them by the ears and slap them around. It has to be somebody high profile that they will respect.

I agree that's part of the problem as well. If you go way back to 06, look at the difference Pronger made. I honestly believe he scared the sh1t out of that team... The players were working their asses off while he was there... The moment he left, those who stayed went back to not giving a sh1t... You could see it in the way they played. Players started coasting again, and showed no hustle whatsoever.

That being said, I think our young guys are trying... They just appear to be lost, and confused out there. No system in place. Too much change.

I`m more fore leaving the top 6 alone and not playing the old vets that just care about there (frank)ing cheque.

PRV-Boyle(orGaustad)-Harti
Jones-Belenger-Eager Extra (Petrell,Ryan Reaves)

We need help on the defence... that will come next season when klefbom comes over.

Also wouldn`t mind getting Patrick Maroon, Mike Brown, or a Brandon Mashinter. we need some functional tough players

While yaks is great, losing JT would be bad... Bad. He literally carries the team by himself

Moulson can only score.

JT needs a robin
Toews-Kane
Stamkos-st Louis
Crosby-malkin-Neal (for power play )
JT-_____

But it has to be somebody who is high profile. Pronger could take games over. Like Laughs mentioned, they were scared of him. How about a huge overpayment offer to Ryan Clowe to make sure you get him. Then say Yaks for Weber

You are going to have to break up your big 4 to get the type of guy required. Hemmer a 1st (unless top 2) and prospects gets you hung up on.

I know... It's far too early to get rid of Krueger. He deserves a chance. I just hope that he eventually realizes what our strengths are, and builds a system around that... Like MacT did.

The problem right now is the strength of our top 6 forwards and a handful of our dmen - great speed and decision-making - is the exact weakness of the rest of our team. Needs to build a system that accounts for that AND isn't totally predictable in terms of the opposing coach line matching.

You're not a homer, JT is money in the bank. Imagine if he had a supporting cast. I'd trade Hall AND Nuge for him I think (plus a tiny bit extra perhaps)
