Wow, I know it was against the Flames, and the Flames backup tender...but seriously nice win for VAN. I told a friend the other day that it seems without Kessler I actually don't mind the Canucks at all. Bieksa still waits until after the whistle to play physical, but other than Bieksa...I kind of like the Canucks. When the Sedins are clicking...woah...lookout.

I'd trade Kessler for a great second line centre but....wait..oh yeah...he is one! lol

I just don't like him personally.

THe Gods are aligning for your Canucks I think. Luongo just increased his trade value for you enormously and Schneider is still looking like a fine #1. I'd trade Hemsky for Luongo (added Oil parts obviously), and Hemsky with the Sedins would be a very large problem for other teams.

Get rid of your coach too probably, but they seem to play for him most of the time. Anyway, impressive steamroll of the Flamers.

(I may or may not have bet a lot of moolah on your Canucks. hehe)

Hard to understand why Canucks are so hated . Bieksa Lu and Schneides are some funny guys.

Burrows no one understands and Kesler is just plain beautiful.

Why all the hate?

- VANTEL

lol I know. Especially Burrows. Anyone who hates Burrows should actually try watching him.

lol. Remove Kesler, Burrows, and Bieksa attitudes and over-the-top arrogant Canucks fans...and the team is impressive. No one can argue that.

and don't worry, I had a Canuck rant earlier this week. haha

I firmly believe that the diving and the talking smack after the whistles and after players turn their backs is the reason the Vancouver Canucks are the most hated team in the league. The talent is there, but perhaps it is their antics and professionalism that ultimately costs them the championship. AV also looks like he's having too much fun, as do most Canucks players when they get interviewed. They just seem really selfish to me. Don't forget Kesler bashing his own team goaltender at the Olympics.

The year EDM lost to the NYI in the final, the defeated rookies had to walk past the Champion NYI room to get out of the building. They thought they would see crazy Stanley Cup celebration. What they saw was Bossy, Potvin, Trottier, etc. icing their wounds, stiching cuts, sitting down, spent. I am not so sure anyone in the Canucks org. knows that lesson. Today however, they look amazing. They need some warriors in my opinion.

Forget about the Oilers short term, they're not there yet. They could surprise this year maybe, but they're not there yet. Canucks window is this year, maybe one more.

I just don't see it. I don't see how Bieksa and Burrows are hated so much. I understand Kesler. He rubs some Canucks fans the wrong way attitude wise. Burrows and Bieksa play a pretty straight game. Especially Bieksa.

He got kicked out of a CHARITY game with kids and grandparents watching two summers ago in Pierrefonds (MTL) where he was trying to fight and the other players were like "idiot! this is for charity!?!?!" Burrows was saying "wanna go, wanna go" etc.

Burrows is a very gritty player and also has decent hands, but he is a fool. He has less than no class. I play with players that have played with him in the summers, and they all have the same conclusion on Burrows...and it's not good.

On a side note, it reminds me of when we had Mike Ribiero come out to play one summer Saturday about 6yrs ago. When everyone paid up their 20bucks, Ribiero said "I'll buy everyone's beer, but I don't pay to play hockey". He might be worse than Burrows...lol We just told him to GTFO. (p.s. his wife is one of the hottest women I have ever seen, maybe ever)

Don't that this wrong way, although how could't you, but the reason the Canucks are so hated is the fans. Arrogant, cocky and with no reason to be so, no Cups.

Obviously your behaviour after Cup finals only adds to your poor rep. You're not "respect" hated like Philly or Raider fans either, they wear as a badge of honour.

- scoot174

yeah, that's pretty much the public opinion. I also hear it from Leaf and Habs fans, not just fans in the west.

I think you're hearing exaggerated stories my friend. A lot of people are jealous of what Burrows has accomplished, coming from such obscurity and becoming what he has become.

All I will say is watch Bieksa after the whistle. Other than Phaneuf when he used to care, Bieksa is probably the worst in the league at giving the extra shot to a player's back after the play is blown dead. The thing that annoys me the most about him is that he is tough. He can back himself up, so why not push a player from THE FRONT OF HIM. Why not close your mouth, hide your ridiculous grin, and just back your sh1t up. I understand a guy like Marchand or Burrows, they can't back it up and it's their job to stir the pot, maybe draw a penalty. But Bieksa? He needs to man up. It's maybe the most annoying thing I see when I watch your team.

It's also unfair to Bieksa, but because he played VERY well in the cup run, you Canucks fans were using words like Norris, and #1 Dman. Please, that just adds fuel to the fire. He's great, I'd LOOOOVE him on my team, but his attitude is very, well, Kesler-like.

That's what I see. The talent is there though for sure. He is a great, complete, #2, maybe #3 Dman (depending on the depth of the team).

Canuck fans that love one of their own players and saying one of their players should be nominateed for an award is the reason we are hated

If that is true ,then other fans are idiots ,and we shouldn't worry what they think.

What about Oiler fans saying after 10 games Yak or Schultz for Calder?
What about Leaf fans saying Phaneuf is top 3 in the league.
What about NYR or LA saying their goalie is the best in the league and they are out of the playoffs as of today?

Luongo for Myers would not be a bad deal for either side. I don't know about Miller for Hjalmarsson. I don't think I would make that one and Crawford would have to be included. I'm not sure our GM is capable of pulling off a trade like that.

Yeah Miller has a movable contract that could bring back a nice return . Any team looking for a goalie like Washington Tor Fla would trade .

I know Myers has sucked but if he goes back to old form then after this year his contract would be a bargain .

AV would shape him into Dman form in no time.

Detroit just put Joey MacDonald on waivers. He costs 550 K .He started 14 games last year and won 8.

Should Canucks pick him up and send Ebbett on waivers . Doing this means Canucks do not need to get a goalie back in a trade. He can sit in the pressbox until a trade happens .

I can't believe the oilers took hall over Seguin.

They'd be so much better off with Seguin.
