Manny will be there. I do like that Dale W and Volpatti can skate and actually contribute
- Bieksa#3

Weise and Volpatti have definitely improved, and I think they're doing an OK job so far, but I still wouldn't mind an upgrade, if they can find someone at the deadline for peanuts.

Saw the clip once. Didn't see anyone grab Orr except the ref. Just saw he turned and punched a guy who wasn't even looking at him.
- Fosco

Really? Gionta for some reason goes after Orr, then Bourque comes in (which was probably a good call, if only to take Orr's attention from the captain). You decide whether Orr was grabbed by anyone apart from the ref...

There are two clips.... He takes a run (with a body check) at Plekanec after being slashed and misses. Gionta steps in and as he is wrapping him up(no punch thrown) bourque grabs him from behind and starts pulling on his head and face. He turns around and clocks him. Saying the guy wasnt even looking is a little off.... to put it nicely

Hmm. That looks different from the clip I saw, which was from a different angle. Can't really tell what's going on there, but there are two Canadiens on one Leaf.

IMO, if you turn and punch a guy who's not expecting it, it's a dirty sucker punch, whether it's two on one or not.

The only question is who on the leafs will taunt Pacioretty like Lappy did
- pker2theend

The question is how Grabo could move his jaw to bite when Patches had him by the wisdoms???

If it's CONCLUSIVELY shown that Grabo bite him, then he deserves a suspension. I find it tough to believe given how aggressively Pacioretty had him by the mouth

I disagree. It was a harmless nibble. Nothing wrong with that

If someone puts their fingers in and around a person's mouth, they deserve to get bit.

It would be, but Bourque definitely engages Orr, though his first instinct was probably to get Orr and his captain apart.

On the other hand, don't poke an angry dog unless you're prepared to accept that you may get bitten...

I would not stop to think about punching someone if they grabbed me by the head and were reefing on it from behind. Had bourque grabbed his shoulder or something i might think differently

Again, its a case of if you thrust your arm in there, accept the fact that they're gonna get pissed off and do whatever possible to get your arm out of there...

Looks like the rightful leader will be back in 1st place in the pool

As long as Nucker and Hertzman can hold off Booner and Scooby.

- Fosco

Pfft, I'd rather not be first right now. It's all about having a hot team down the stretch. Scooby could be in trouble once Vanek cools off, he's a notorious fast starter too.

I'm a pretty good GM, I realized my weakness(D) and turned it into a strength within a couple of days. It cost me Hall and Taranseko, but I just replaced Hall with Kane who is similar, only less PP points and more hits. Kane cost me Duchene and Doan, who I replaced with Landeskog and Pacioretty. So basically I improved my defence significantly without taking much of a hit at forward.

Yeah. I watched a lot of Wolves games during the lockout, so I did see glimpses of what Schroeder and Kassian could do, but it's a nice surprise that they seem to be keeping it up in the NHL so far.

Tanev's the least surprising of the lot. He was a surprise at first, but we've been getting accustomed to his reliable play almost from game one. Great find by Gillis.

A few nice surprised for the Leafs, too, with Frattin, Kadri, and Reimer. That Kostka guy seems like he could be a good player, as well, although I haven't seen him much.

Hopefully Gardiner can get/stay healthy and help out soon

And Schroeder with another. Nice.

Nice goal. Maybe your folks can teach Phaneuf to shoot along the ice from point to try and get rebounds/not break your buddy's arm???
