- Fruitcakenipple

He has the tools, but with the right coaching, he could become another Chara style player. He has the big wingspan and has some offensive upside. Maybe a change of scenery would work for him. How about Kulimen and Blacker?

Are you intentionally trolling Prock?...

Haha, not at all, I like Price, you might remember, I always have. Only my opinion.

I can see that, in the team this year. Last year, and before, Wilson would lose it on the refs and the players piled on. They came off as whinners. Under Carlyle, there's very little of that activity. Just as well, because I think it influences the refs, whenever there's a borderline call.
- PrinceLH

Exactly. And like I said. Bad calls to both ways

Im not sure if its envy and much as their shock and anger that the Toronto fan base didnt want Luongo on their team.

I don't see the Habs hanging with the Leafs tonight...

I guess a buy-out is the only option considering his clause-riddled contract. He hasn't been terrible this year when he has played, but that's that. His tenure here has been nothing short of abysmal. The best route would be to trade him, but it's extremely unlikely.

I think I covered all bases?

- A_Tree

Yes you have covered all the bases and very reasonably.

and to Augello... its not fairly or unfairly - Komisarek has been BRUTAL BRUTAL.

Leaf fans drive me nuts --- some of you guys really do listen to the talking heads on Toronto radio too much.

Please think back over the past three years of Komisarek's tenure... and name one, just one game where his contributions were notable and positive. There are lots and lots of negatives.

All that and the big dope is stupid enough to come out and say he's "in shape now.. and ready to go"...what an idiot. And any real Leaf fan needs to give their head a shake if they now are feeling sorry for old Mikey. He stinks, he's overpaid, he's repeatedly taken bad penalties and who knows how much damage his presence did to Schenn, Gustavsson and anyone else who he partnered with.

There isn't one reason to keep in the line-up... unless of course (yes this is for you UG) you want to tank.

Dion has been switched to the opposite side this year.

Prolly because kostka can't flip and still be effective.

- Dozzer

Iunno man when i ever i watch him i always see him on that god damn side. If its powerplay or not Lets see how he plays this game, i will keep my eye on him tonight

Not sure i'd put Price top 5 just yet, but he is awesome. Toronto could only hope to have a goalie like him within the next 10 years.
- blahman20

That is the beauty of discussions, we all see players ranked differently.

Saying a player is bad based on what his jersey looks like is just foolish.

I bet all the price haters will be cheering him on franticly once he dons the maple leaf for team Canada.

- Dozzer

of course. But Komisarek isn't very good. Don't you cheer for him when he's in his Leaf jersey? I don't want him on the team, but I still want him to play well when he's playing.

As far as Price goes, yeah, if he's starting for Team Canada in the Olympics, I'd like him to play well. But I think Canada is likely to have some of the weakest goaltending in the Olympics. When teams like Finland can roll out Rinne, Rask, Kiprusof, or the US can play Quick, Miller, maybe Anderson, I don't think Canada can match that. Thankfully, the rest of the team will be better than those countries.

Yeah lucky it evened out that game Too many bad calls regarding this new puck rule with players hand or goalie interference when their own teammate pushes them into the goalie. These calls are brutal, ruins the game play and could be a game changer for the team to lose
- Mapleleafs_91

I hate the goalie interference calls this year.

If a goalie comes out of his crease he should do so at his own risk

They need to protect the goalies, but need to get a grip on incidental contact or being pushed into as part of the play...

I think it's fair to say he just needs to take a little off his shot and make sure he gets it on net first and foremost. Left or right side

I know being scratched doesn't mean squat, but still might be worth inquiring if he available....

I agree. If it's a total running of the goalie, that's different. But when you jockey for space, outside the crease, you do so at your own peril. Same goes, from behind the icing line.

Cheer Komi? Does cringing when he touches the puck count? Lol

But yeah, I get what you're saying.

As for team Canada's goalie, you only need one strong netminder, and price fits that bill.

Watching Chara, when they beat us 1 - 0, he used his size and stick, to hold the Leafs players to the outside. If coached correctly, Myers could do the same. He's the same age as Luke Schenn, so it's not like he's over 25 or anything.

That's another one. If it's embellishment, I hate seeing diving and tripping being called and offsetting the penalty calls. It can't be both.

I think there are about 4 or 5 countries that have a better goalie. Some have multiple.

Hey - you forgot to mention top three in the league Corey Schneider. I'm sure the Canuck fans feel he should start ahead of Miller, Quick or ANderson... and that it should be Luongo in net for Canada... unless of course Luongo is traded.
