Nope. You guys should be happy. Our boards are currently in Mr.Hyde phase so Im a little jelly.

Dude, you have no room to be jealous. Look at the young talent on your team!

Rough spots are expected for you guys... and even now, the rough isn't all that rough. The young guys have to learn somehow!!

Yeah can't really like biting.

On the other hand, why should he put up with that crap from someone 3 inches taller and 20 lbs heavier? As for Gorges saying Grabo should drop the gloves and fight...

why? Why would he be obligated to fight ever; especially in those circumstances.

Pacioretty would not have to look far if he really wanted a fight. Maybe HE should man up instead of going after one of the smaller Leafs.

- Aetherial

cmon man...he suffered a severely broken neck. you ever try watching a movie under those circumstances?? JERK.

its technically not wrong however.

it just fails to mention the other player grabo was tangled up with as well.

- Dozzer

Well you cannot see him bite him and if you go by conclusive evidence, it fails the test, but you know as well as I when the Leafs are involved the league likes to make sure they flex their muscles.

As for the press release, they failed to mention one key point, Pacioretty instigated the problem by mugging the Leaf player from behind and headlocking the player around the nose and mouth, if they want to strive for accuracy and fairness, then don't leave out an important detail.

Man I'd rather the team be called dirty after a win than soft after a loss. I hope if Grabbo is suspended the Leafs just come out and play the same way, just to show they don't give a (frank) about suspensions.

He suffered a broke arm last night. Dr. Recchi doesn't think so.

He will be in the lineup on Tuesday.

You gotta love the incompetence of the NHL, they can't even get a press release right about what actually happened, yes people, these are the people who are running the league.

Not surprising...

Judging the incident on just what is posted here, seems like Grabbo is not a lock to get suspended. Seems like the odds are against it.
- GCHonda

agreed. and there is precedents as well when it comes to biting.

and they flip flop

burrows didnt get one.. tho it was the final.. but ruutu got 2 games for biting in 2009

neither were under shanny however.

The positive side is that you have a few OT points, it means your team was right in it. For such a young team that has to be encouraging, especially since you know for sure there is a lot more to come from that forward group.

lets take off the blue and white goggles here for a second

if the league determines he bit him he should be punished.

we can talk about the scenario all we want but if he chomped down then no one is to blame for that but himself.

pax put his arm in grabo's face? yes

but the act of biting would be on grabo and grabo alone.

the league will need to look at three things

1: is there sufficient video evidence to prove grabovski actually bit down on the opposition players flesh? no

2: did the officials report it as a bite in their post game summary? no idea.

3: does grabovksi have a history of going overboard vs the habs? yes

so in all honesty, it will come down to the refs report of the incident.

i am curious if an NHL doctor (not employed by the habs) got the chance to review the marks on pax's wrist.. there would be a difference between teeth marks that come from just pressing a forearm into a persons mouth and the marks that result from a bite.

- Dozzer

If they determine he bit him??? How would they do that short of inventing something? The video doesn't prove anything, hence nothing will happen.

I think they'll start scoring a lot more. Just being too cute a lot right now. Have to accept that not every goal needs to make a highlight reel....and SHOOT the f'in puck.

none of which actually has a bearing on grabovski actually biting down

scrums like this happen all the time without the biting

and again, there is more than just video replay to be considered here.

if the refs reported it as a bite in their post game summary that gets submitted to the NHL, and it was confirmed by nhl medical staff as a bite wound, than grabo could be punished based on that.

there is no place for biting, not even in dirty scrums. i love grabo, but if its determined he bit a player he should serve a suspension. no place for that kind of crap in hockey.

also, take a look at the replay, yes he was involved in a scrum but his hand was clearly free.. he didnt need to bite at all.

RDS is reporting that Pacioretty suffered a broken arm and lost 2 quarts of blood on the play. The wound took 273 stitches to close.

Montreal police are investigating.

Pacioretty is expected to make a full, miraculous, recovery and be in the lineup on Tuesday.

No one doubts Grabovski did something awfully dirty to Pacioretty. I mean, Chara almost KILLED him & he went to a movie a couple days later.

You are aware if you stick your arm in a person's mouth you will get teeth marks, right? Add to it during a battle when someone is grabbing you from the front and one from behind. Why it is that he is trying to strangle a player? Should he not be in control of his actions?
