Grabo probably bit him.

Of course why was Pac's hand in his face... is *that* supposed to be OK?

- Aetherial

Yup, if you get into a scrum like that & a guy has his hand all over your face, basically sticking his hand in your mouth, he probably will get bit. It's Patch's fault also. I have no doubt Grabbo bit him but Patch is at fault here too. Hopefully Grabbo will just get a fine. But knowing the anti-Canadain & anti-Leaf sentiment across the league, aswell with the Leafs playing wlll & god forbid the NHL would ever wat that, I fear Grabbo will get unfair punisment.

Love how the Habs always bring out the animal in Grabbo. The hatred between him & the Habs will live 4ever.

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mikhail Grabovski faces a hearing with the Department of Player Safety on Sunday afternoon for an incident in Toronto's 6-0 victory against the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday night.

Grabovski received a 10-minute misconduct and a roughing minor for an incident during a scrum at the 11:30 mark of the third period. Grabovski was tangled up with Montreal Canadiens forward Max Pacioretty during the incident in question. Pacioretty was also issued a 10-minute misconduct on the play.

You gotta love the incompetence of the NHL, they can't even get a press release right about what actually happened, yes people, these are the people who are running the league.

I'd say there will be no suspension. Just needs to be muzzled for Habs games.

Well with Koztka being an RC fav, Fraser is now a mainstay & Holzer showing a scoring touch, likely the end of Komi's time in TO. The Leafs are showing they are MUCH MUCH better of for it. WOuldn't be surprised if Nonis is looking for a taker for Komi. Anyone think we can at least squeak out a 4th rounder for him?

lets take off the blue and white goggles here for a second

if the league determines he bit him he should be punished.

we can talk about the scenario all we want but if he chomped down then no one is to blame for that but himself.

pax put his arm in grabo's face? yes

but the act of biting would be on grabo and grabo alone.

the league will need to look at three things

1: is there sufficient video evidence to prove grabovski actually bit down on the opposition players flesh? no

2: did the officials report it as a bite in their post game summary? no idea.

3: does grabovksi have a history of going overboard vs the habs? yes

so in all honesty, it will come down to the refs report of the incident.

i am curious if an NHL doctor (not employed by the habs) got the chance to review the marks on pax's wrist.. there would be a difference between teeth marks that come from just pressing a forearm into a persons mouth and the marks that result from a bite.

RDS is reporting that Pacioretty suffered a broken arm and lost 2 quarts of blood on the play. The wound took 273 stitches to close.

Montreal police are investigating.

Pacioretty is expected to make a full, miraculous, recovery and be in the lineup on Tuesday.

With the amnesty clause, a team may look for him for depth heading into the playoffs.

We haven't had much to cheer about and we have been everyone's favorite laughing stock target for many years now.

Can you blame us for enjoying last night and being on the giving end of a beatdown for a change.

Fukken hilarious. When 29 other teams stick up for each other & show some truclulence, everyone says " good teams make sure no one pushes their team mates around, the team has character . When the Leafs get tough, everyone calls them goons & other negative stuff. I say FUKK OFF to all that bull. Leafs have FINALLY become a tough team that sticks up for themselves. What the fukk is wrong with that? Why ae the Leafs held to a diffeent standard than 29 other teams? Bunch of bullcrap is al I say about it.

yes but remember, the evidence in the video has to be clear to warrant a suspension

like i said earlier. this will come down to a medical report (if there is one) that was conducted by league officials.

no altercation with Gionta in it counts as a fight on the scoresheet.

How stupid is Josh Georges? I mean McLaren is essentially letting him off the hook smiling at him.. and he continues to try and engage.... then complains afterwards.

Cherry is going to have a field day with this stuff... and God I hope it is on a Montreal home game CBC national broadcast...

Montreal trying to rough it up.... get their butts kicked all over the ice.

I've got the cheese ready to go with the wine I know is coming.

- BorjeFan4Ever

He probably will say more but he already talked about it on After Hours. Fully sided with the Leafs (rightfully so). He also showed a clip of Plekanec slashing Orr earlier in the shift. Was saying that Orr would've never taken a run at him if he wasn't slashed and the Habs are stupid for whining about it considering he didn't even connect his hit/there was no knee. Idiots like Prust/Gallagher were trying to be tough guys, the Habs ended up getting roughed up by real tough guys.

Yeah can't really like biting.

On the other hand, why should he put up with that crap from someone 3 inches taller and 20 lbs heavier? As for Gorges saying Grabo should drop the gloves and fight...

why? Why would he be obligated to fight ever; especially in those circumstances.

Pacioretty would not have to look far if he really wanted a fight. Maybe HE should man up instead of going after one of the smaller Leafs.

Judging the incident on just what is posted here, seems like Grabbo is not a lock to get suspended. Seems like the odds are against it.
