Never count Euro teams out. They almost always play above their heads in international tournaments.

They make up the majority of the teams

No UG or Beatle John

- PrinceLH

Beatle John is ok, just keep it to hockey and everything's good. If it turns into a chimp-like poop flinging contest then he'll oblige, but otherwise he's decent people.

Basically. Plus a lot of those countries have played the same system forever and its like the players slip right back into it.

Slovakia and Finland were supposed to be ass last time around and made up the bronze medal game.

Yeah, he's OK, as long as we're not talking Luongo. We do discuss British Invasion music. He's pretty knowledgeable on that, as well.

Seriously. Were Orr and Gionta "fighting?"
- As_I_See_It

Nope. Gionta made the mistake of approaching a fighter and they grappled, then dum(frank) Rene over there decided he wanted to learn how to take a punch by ripping Orr's helmet off.

Hey, they looked good at the time......no complaints there.

Allot of people never knew this, but the guys that played in the Dave Clark 5 were big Leafs fans.

The only conceivable explanation for why either of them attempted to come after Orr was that they felt they could take him if they worked together.

Their courage was slightly ill-advised.

I just think they had to do something. If they just let it happen they would look like a bunch of pussies for not sticking up for eachother

All in all, it was a great night to be a Leaf fan. It sure shut up allot of Habs fans that liked to talk sh!t. Of course that's been a generational problem. It sure made if fun, sending texts one way, all night. Funny how I never got any answers on my text messages, when the Leafs scored, hit, killed Habs players all night. For a change, they'll be avoiding me, after the game. Being in Eastern Ontario, we have allot of them around.

And their only "tough guys" don't have the balls to even lay a finger on Orr or McLaren, putting their non-fighters in the unenviable position of having to do Prust's job.

Prust even got his hair combed for him. Kind of put him in his place. Once he was dispatched, the Habs had no answers. McLaren has actually impressed me, as a 4th line player. He forechecks well and takes care of business, when he's challenged. I wonder if Mike Brown ever gets back into the lineup.

I know a few got the furlough, from a couple of days ago. Some Nuck fans, some Leaf fans. I wonder if UG was one of them. Rumour has it, that they've made references about his alt account. Maybe they've had enough of the crap. He was being good after getting his main account banished for 18 months. Who knows, he probably has another one to work with and may just sit out his more recent ban. Sure makes for a pleasurable evening, without listening to the grinding arguments, regardless if he's right or wrong.

Where do you put him? With MacLaren and Orr doing their Blitzkrieg and the other 3 lines being set as scoring lines, where does he fit in? He's a heart and soul guy, but his size may be against him now. There are allot of bodies hanging around the Leafs right now. They may want to either move them singularly or in a package.
