There's no point in throwing away depth at this point, especially with the injuries, and they don't exactly need the cap room right now.

What for? He went for a hit. A legal hit, for a little retribution for a slash. Gionta comes at him, gets his ass handed to him. Then Bourque decides he's going to be the third man in, and gets his ass handed to him.

Third man in is supposed to be a penalty. Bourque should have been sent to the box.
