I SWEAR ON MY LIFE, lucky for the planet earth that James Reimer & Scrivens are playing well. If they weren't, I would have rained down fire, hell & brimstone for the Leafs not getting Tim Thomas. I said in the summer, inspite on all the Lu hoopla, I always liked Thomas better, if the Leafs needed to go out & get a goalie, Thomas is the man. Luckily for planet earth that the Leafs goaltending is the least of their problems & we don't need Thomas. Or else I would have seriously blown a gasket.

But the Isles now have 2 veterans in goal & neither has ever been a backup. Plus, Nabokov has been playing well. Doesn't Thomas have a NTC? Would he approave going to a team that isn't a proven contender & who currently has a #1 goalie?

The Boston Bruins only get a draft pick from the Islanders for Tim Thomas if he reports to them or any other team if NYI trade his rights.

Thomas will never wear an Isles sweater... Even if he wanted to play for the Isles, the Isles dont want to lose a 2nd rd pick. (Isles arent even paying him but his contract goes on the cap still.)

This really shouldn't be allowed by the NHL if Thomas has no intention of playing, it's cap circumvention at the lower scale. Which is unheard of!!!
