Wait wait wait wait.

Hold the (frank) up BL.

You mean to tell me they're going to play the top scorer on the team on the PP?

The (frank)?

Next thing you'll tell me they'll let the leading point getter get in there.

- AdamFrench

He's been on the PP all year. Kadri's got more PP time than Grabo

So both fan-bases can agree its not what either is looking for.

Can you quantify SC upside for me? I honestly do now know, I do what what Kessel can score... but for my own knowlege what is mr "coots" upside?

NHL comparable would be Jordan Staal IMO

This is ug and bozak all over again. Just cause he played there doesn't mean he's from there.

At this point, I would like to point out that nobody cares, so let's just drop this and move on.

It was a neccesary evil - we were so thin at centre, we couldn't let him get away.

His value to the Leafs > he value on the open market with the rest of the league.

You aren't telling us anything we don't already know.

Wow, I have news for those that are hopeful for that scenario...Staal was a 25+ goal scorer as an 18 y/o rookie 3rd line centre. Couturier is a ways from even coming close to that comparable.

That is obviously optimal output - I am in no way suggesting that he is = to J.Staal. His ceiling would be J.Staal. He could be a bust for all I know.

In his rookie year Staal played with Malkin as his LW and only played center on the PK that year.

He's not supposed to be a top scorer for us.

maybe don't make assumptions about a guy who had 27 points playing 3rd line minutes at age 18?

Couturier has the potential to be a very good player. But young players need time to develop.

We're all pretty pumped about Kadri... at age 22 he's got 28 points in his entire NHL career. Over 4 years.

Dude: really?

He's the 20th highest paid centre in the league.

How can you possibly justify that for a 2nd line centre?

Grabo's been the most consistent point getter and scorer on the Leafs for 4 years.

unless we've decided what we've seen after 11 games is how the season will go... in which case, when you dumping Schneider for a 3rd round pick?

Kadri has worked on puck support, looking to be open for teammates in and around the puck, hence 7-Eleven nickname
