I wouldn't say that Kadri is turning it around.

I'd just say he is developing nicely.

Yea I think i'd have to agree with you. I hope that Colborne develops nicely then haha

KAdri is turning it around...That's how it looks when 7th overall picks finally develop. I know we haven't seen it around these parts since like Wendel but Kadri will start to become more and more confident with the puck and will do great things going forward.
I'm really excitedfor a core of Frattin, Kadri , Kessel and JVR

IMO Phaneuf is a number 1B defenceman. Meaning he needs someone of his caliber to hit his ceiling - unlike someone like Weber/Chara/Pronger/Lidstrom who could do it all on their own. Imagine if Phaneuf was playing with Stall/Suter/J.Johnson - He'd be top 10 in the league in quality defenceman.Mike Kostka is not going to cut it. I also don't think we should trade him. Include a defenceman in a Kessel trade and sign Corey
Perry in the off-season. Done!

....so how about how Grabo and Kule are slumping... and not to mention Clarke (wish I could complete a no-look behind the back pass) MacArthur

Someone here said Phaneuf was top d-man on the worst team in the league.....this year we are not the worst team in the league. We're not great either, but by far not the worst.

Kardi is only "turning it around" for the people who wrote him off prematurely.
He is just developing at a pace that is on par with most picks outside the top 5.

Currently paired with Klein and they are 5th in the West - not tearing it up in points - but certainly solid on the back end. Second in fewest goals allowed in the league.

"Turning it around" implies that he was going in the wrong direction.

He really wasn't.

Take a look at this:

http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/draft/nhl2009e.html

Throw out the top 5 - everyone knew they were a cut above. Heck, you could even look at Brayden Schenn, who if he was a Leaf right now would be considered a bust.

After that, Kadri is pretty much exactly where he should be relative to his draft class.

It just freaked out Leafs fans to not see him in the line-up 3 months after being drafted.

On some teams, they call that player development.

Just keep it in mind when people start wondering why Rielly isn't on the Leafs for opening night in October 2013.

He's developing like he always has had. If you look at his junior career and up he's always started off slow then he adapts and takes off been saying this for awhile now. Just glad it's coming together for him.

Look on the bright side: we could have paid $1 jillion for Suter, with his 10 games, 0 goals, 4 assists, -7.

At this point, I should probably point out I effing hated his dad.

Didn't freak all of us out, spent much of last year defending him. The guys I've been wrong about thus far is Frattin. Didn't think he had finish, turns out he does.

I really don't think this year's team has enough talent to make the playoffs.

But I'm happy watching JVR, Frattin and Kadri develop.

Can we please get the last two some PP time?

If he played with Jack Johnson they'd lead the league with a minus 75.
