Quit your female doging Marty........ you have Price.
- faceto27

I have to agree, as much as I hate the Habs ( And I do ) Price is awesome. I sat just a couple rows behind him for one game, and it was amazing to watch his control and calmness. Excellent tender.

Did you see the habs blow it last night?

Budaj is a terrible, terrible backup goalie.

- Pecafan Fan

While I agree that Budaj is a terrible back-up, didn't it look like Ott pushed him into the net with his leg and the referees missed it.

Wrong. He has not played like a top pairing defensemen. Just because he is paired with Phaneuf doesn't imply that he is second on the depth chart. And he has not played like one. He is playing there out of necessity.
- faceto27

You gotta watch the little things that he does though dude. Clearing the puck, making smart plays, blocking shots> Hes on the Pk, hes on the PP> He makes smart descisions. He very much has played like an allstar so far. He has been amazing, frankly. His game last night was nearly perfect.

It could be another Winter Wan when we got the 105 cms... that shut this place down for 5 days, and we are used to getting high snow falls.
- bixll

I honestly don't think I shoveled snow last year, so this is a nice little dump.

But it's going to go up to 6 degrees and rain on Monday.

A poor bastard friend up the street has been trying to keep his backyard rink going. I think he's put about 10 hours of work in for every hour of skating.

I am not saying I am right. I am applying critical thinking to the situation. You should try it sometimes. Taking a rumour for a fact is just dumb.

Let me know when the Leafs can find a guy as good as Giroux from 22nd in the draft. I'm sure it's something the Leafs do all the time.
- Two_For_Truth

The year Giroux was picked they could have had em....Didn't take him. So that's one time they could of had a guy like Giroux. I think they took Kadri that year though.
Nazem Kadri - 3 goals, 6 assist, 9 points
Claude Giroux 3 goals, 4 assist, 7 points.

The book hasn't been written on these two yet. Look who Giroux plays with and on the type of team.

What point are you trying to make other than knee-jerk contrarian BS?

Is your point that we should get Stamkos or Giroux (if that were even possible)? But then are you also suggesting you wouldn't trade a first rounder for somebody of their calibre?

- Leeman4Gilmour

No, it's not even possible because neither team they play for is that stupid.

No, you can't get either one of them for a laughable package of Grabovski, Gunnarsson and a 1st.

Any chance you guys could give him a shot at redemption and start him again Saturday night?

Actually, on second thought, no. Don't do that. He probably would turn in an exceptional performance.

You love that dog of yours

- faceto27

Guilty as charged.

Sad thing is her knees are shot - nothing I would like more than to take her to the park tonight and let her roll in snow for two hours, but it would kill her.

She gets to roll around in the back and front yards, but that's it.

We wer out last night working on our local community rink. It was -19 We have a full rink with boards and 2 NHL quality nets, then we also do one of the tennis courts for the littler kids. The place has great ice and has been full of kids. Gota love that.

Has Kadri ever scored 90 points in an NHL season? And don't say it's who Giroux plays with. He led his team in points and is now the captain. He earned what he got.

You got the wrong draft year by the way. Giroux is three years older than Kadri. It's a laughable comparison.

It's my kids' school's outdoor skating party tonight. I hope it stops snowing by then.

Going to have to bundle them up real good.

Yeah, meh.

Sens were robbed of a goal against the Habs. It evens out at the end of the year, I guess.

Has Kadri ever played a full NHL season. Has Kadri ever played with anybody near as talented as the guys Giroux has....?
I'm not saying Giroux isn't the better player to date but you have no idea what Kadri is going to accomplish so don't even start.
As of this moment between two guys who are under 22 Kadri is having the better year....Don't hate the messenger.
