Please remove Scrivens, and add Komarov.

Seriously, Komarov is so incredibly awesome.

With his two assists. And his expert PKing abilities, which currently has the Leafs ranked around 27th or 28th in the league.

But he can trash talk in four languages!

Here's something else that Leafs fans need to think about:

For 3 years, everyone (with Grapes leading the charge) said that the Leafs were killing the kid's confidence by keeping him down on the Marlies.

I've heard it called something different in other organizations: player development.

- Atomic Wedgie

I think Grapes views were slightly more complex. It had to do more with the yo yo treatment and with Wilson chewing him up at press conferences. Either way, you are right.

cost us a lot did they?
- Big_Lightnin

As a matter of fact, Big Lightnin', they did.

They cost us the opportunity to play other guys who would have benefited from a spot on the Leafs.

(frank) that. Know what? the only issue anybody has with Bozak is he's our 1st line C. If Grabo had been 1st line C all this time, and Bozak #2, most would love Bozak and Grabo would get more criticism.

Only thing the guy has done wrong since being a Leaf is have better chemistry with Kessel than Grabo did...

- Big_Lightnin

You are absolutely right.

But I like to go off on angry rants, so...

Although I don't even like Bozak at #2.

And he doesn't have enough grit for #3.

Ya i like the pick but if it was 1st overall i wouldnt have , then and now i would of rather the 2 Sting guys
- poohcrumbs

In that video, Nonis says that they'd go with position if two guys were equal. Burke had said something similar.

I think it's an indication that they would have gone with Galy if he was available, but I posted earlier why I thought they'd have had Rielly up that high...

Rienhart is one of those guys that has all the tools, but may not have the toolbox, Murray is an all-around guy, but not necessarily a game-breaker, Yak is a winger-which we have enough of- and Burke doesn't like Russians anyways .

Sooo... yea, it's not too hard to see why he'd go with Rielly/Galy 1st overall.

Just what I think:

Phaneuf and Kessel are both young and trading either of them would be a bad idea. Once the Leafs become a better team, both of those guys are going to look great.

I promise that if they did get traded to a team that could surround them with complementary players of their own skill level people would be saying "how come he never did that for the Leafs"

Once Gardner is a star, him and Phaneuf are going to make each other look so good. Once Kadri becomes Kessel's centre, or once they aquire a centre worthy of playing with Kessel, he is going to score 50 goals.

Bottom line: this is one of the leagues youngest and most exciting teams. Relax. Enjoy watching them grow together. And keep in mind that the team that looks so good right now still has Lupel and Gardner to add to it.

I took a quick peek at the 2009-10 roster to try to answer your question.

Oh my God, what a horrific collection of stiffs at forward.

Our fourth leading scorer was Bozak - with 27 points. In 37 games.

For any of you still wondering if it was fair for Burke to be fired, take a look at the 2009-10 roster, and ask yourself how Burke thought that the team was anything other than a lottery team when making the Kessel deal.
