he won a gold medal in the olympics and the vezina.
i can't wait until king henrik reminds you why he's nicknamed the king tonight - rangerdanger94
compare him to the guy who plays across the river, why doesnt brodeur have a nickname? his resume is much better |

but we need to clear tavares' cap hit to sign patty kane to his $10,500,000/yr deal. NHL 13 contracts get so inflated so fast - rangerdanger94
You are telling me, I hate trying to play my Oilers on Be A GM mode, it gets stupid, Hall, Eberle and Nuge all end up asking for like 10Mil |

marty doesnt need a nickname for all the records he has, the 3 cups he has, the olympic medals he has, but i guess across the river it makes them feel more important and put him in glorified air when he hasnt won the big picture, yes its ny and its the rangers they like to exaggerate and all, and yes lundqvist is a top goalie, but nicknames are like gimmicks, its even worse when they haven't won the championship
i find it funny that on msg they reply rangers 94 run to the finals all the time, and all that, why not show the devils runs or isles? - dmarsden2988
cuz it's MSG? be grateful that we even air your scum team on air
and only reason marty has won all that is cuz he's an above average goalie that played in the most defensive system in all of sports with defensemen named stevens, danekyo, rafalski, and niedermayer in front of him. not to mention he's been in the NHL since 92. |

should the avs just throw in landeskog aswell? - sensarmy_11
Eller is a stud and could be a first line center. He's better than Statsny.
Weber would run the powerplay for them.
With those two in the lineup that first round pick would likely be around 17-20th. |

so how did he make it to the finals last year?
why was it that he won the vezina (s) after stevens, nieds, dano etc left?
an above average goalie doesnt get to 660 wins, 120 shut outs just due to the team in front of him........when everyone would always count the devils out |

you mean eller, who plays on your 3rd line, and weber, who's been a healthy scratch most of the year.
come on man, take off the homer glasses. |

I wonder if the Oilers are looking at a prospect center more than one already on the roster, I can't imagine them wanting anyone else other than Tavares. Strome is a great prospect, but who knows what they would want back. One guy I might want to look at is Anders Lee, I don't know much about him but at 6'3 and about 230lbs that would be something we need down the middle. - ALEDDO
The size is something we need. I would take Strome or Nelson. Where is Lee playing?

Vancouver was the other team trying to sign him, so yeah, he is worth it, and it would resolve your goaltending issues, he is a good # 2 center, exactly what you guys need, and gillis would keep his job. If they have to buy out loungo, he's done. - nascarguy
Dude just because your team fired your gmn doesn't mean Gillis is on the hot seat....it's like some bizzarro world where things go bad for one team so it is the same elsewhere.
Gillis is not on the hot seat, two presidents compared to a lottery team pretty much ensures this. |

Marty is and was better then hank, if only because he's been in the league for (frank) knows how long. He's a living legend. I'm sure hank will be spoken of in the same breath someday, but not yet. |

Lee is playing at Notre Dame
2010-11 Notre Dame CCHA 44 24 20 44 16
2011-12 Notre Dame CCHA 40 17 17 34 24
2012-13 Notre Dame CCHA 28 14 10 24 27
It looks like he is regressing. If he is responsible defensively and could turn into a 3rd line C I'd take a chance on him. |

I can see something like:
Desharnais + Ellis + 2nd choice
Now that would be fair. |

Apparently in the NCAA for Notre Dame, which doesn't scream talent to me, but the size itself would be invaluable, as long as he can win faceoffs and use his size he doesn't need to do a whole lot else. |

Playing on the first line. The amount of goals is similar et Eller was playing with Moen.
