Kessel deal NOT IMMINENT!!!! - bcallaway
Nonis would have to blown away in an offer to trade Phil. Meaning, he'd be looking for close to the eqivalent of what Burke gave up to get him. Would Nonis get that price? I seriously doubt it but that's what Nonis wants so I guess Phil won't get dealt. |

Time for some trades. It's a sprint this year. When is the trade deadline? - Dean_Youngblood
I believe it's April 3rd, end of the season April 30th.

Ek said the Oil are looking at a center. Oposko is a RW. I'm confused - GCHonda
The Oilers have been looking at center since Doug Weight left. They always end up with a winger. That would be odd if they actually got a natural center, so it never occured to me to look for someone who is actually playing center for the NYI to fill a need for the center position. I guess I am just used to how things are done in EDM. |

Kings's fans will burn their GM in efigy. Nothing wrong with Hank but Quick is an untouchable in the King's fans eyes, Doughty too. - GCHonda
not to mention kopitar is a beast.... |

so unless you can rape a GM the same as your old GM was rape, you dont make any deals that can still help your club
sounds about right

a deal around Eller would be my guess - willey101
any deal with eller as the centerpiece has no chance of getting o'reilly out of colorado. he's a decent enough player, but not enough to get the avs leading scorer, who's 2 or 3 years younger than eller.
assuming that price, subban, and galchenyuk are untouchables....there is nothing the habs can offer colorado for their 22 year old leading scorer. |

Who are the isles center? Tavares who is obviously off the table, strome, nelson, bailey, others? |

I never said Eller would be a center piece but my guess is he'd be involved.
Personally I wouldnt trade for O'reilly seeing how he won't be playing top 3 center on this team so really what is the point.

Wow, that's very insightful and actually makes a lot of sense.. You may be onto something here cause I know the leafs want Weiss and Raymond n Lu to Florida sending a center names bozak to Vancouver. That would work |

The oil are going to get Reasoner, it's a matter of what the Isles want, a not-great prospect or a 6th rounder |

maybe if they add a 4th. - rangerdanger94
Since every Ranger player is better than every Kings player, you would assume the Rangers made the stanley cup Finals or something lol. So if everybody is great on the team, is Hank that good or is his defense the reason he is referred to as the "King" lol. Only in NY can someone be labeled the "King" when he hasn't won anything and you have Marty Brodeur one mile away with all of his rings.

Also if the leafs could trade kessel, it would have to be for a package that includes perry or getzlaf.. If they could do that, that would totally be worth it, but obviously Toronto would have to give up more than him to get one of those guys, but if you potentially could do it, I would in a heartbeat. |

Vancouver was the other team trying to sign him, so yeah, he is worth it, and it would resolve your goaltending issues, he is a good # 2 center, exactly what you guys need, and gillis would keep his job. If they have to buy out loungo, he's done. |

i think the leafs would be stupid to try and trade for them, it would cost more than ti was worth, especially with how well anaheim is playing. i would suspect that getzlaf costs AT LEAST kessel, 1st rd pick, really good prospect/roster player....and perry almost surely costs more than that.
better off just waiting for them to hit the open market, and just offer a "max deal" to one or both. |

Eller, Leblanc, Kaberle + - habs&islesfan
no chance, especially with an old, expensive, and useless player added in.
like the other guy said, no point in the habs even trying to acquire him, with pleks, desharnais, and galchenyuk in the lineup.
and besides, the avs would probably want galchneyuk for him anyways. |
