Does he? I guess that depends on your definition of "the job". Every year he butchers at least one series in the post season with his horsesh!t reactionary game planning & inability to give the players continuity as far as lines/pairings/which goaltender should play. Anyone could stack Presidents Trophies with this roster.

I'll never understand how people continue to be impressed by his regular season results... Where having a "system" trumps the ability to prepare for a particular opponent. NOT the case in a 7 game series.

Here's AV preparing for the playoffs last year.... switch all the D pairings and throw Raymond on the top line..... sit Kassian for the entire series, make zero preperations for the possibilty that Danny wouldnt be ready for game 1(av's own admission), never once try Booth with the Sedins which ended up being his hail marry shot in game 5 and make the goalie switch *after* the series starts.

It seems AV was panicking before the playoffs even started. We watched him play those D pairing to failure for three weeks and he stuck with it anyways. Thats just dumb stubborn. We saw how well Raymond was playing last year but AV doesnt even give Booth a shot tto see if it is worth a try. He was confident in Raymond obviously. Thats just dumb period.

Oh how I wish Gillis dumped AV for Quenville when he was hired as GM. He let him slide on by to the Hawks.
