everyone said that about kovy but he has put that to rest since last year and a lil longer when he really started learning devils hockey and brought into the system and took on more responsibility

he won't score 50 goals anymore but he is a much better player in all areas and is a difference maker even if he doesn't score

- dmarsden2988

He led the league in turnovers. I don't know what Devils hockey is but he is a dumb dumb with the puck unless he is shooting.

I know. It's that urge that sports fans get to find fault/lay blame and be the first or loudest to do it. Grigorenko is a talented, young player on a team where a lot of things aren't going well. It would be great if he could be part of the solution but its unrealistic at this point. Just let him go play hockey.

so you'd like the sabres to miss the playoffs? a line of rookies will give up alot of goals and chances

they will get better as they get experience but that's when they play with teammates who have been around and are more responsible

i know armia is a scorer but it won't work out on a line like that this year

- dmarsden2988

I'd be willing to try it and see what happens
Obviously they wouldn't be playing much against other teams' top lines,
So I'm actually not too worried about possible scoring chances coming mostly from another teams 3rd line

And if it's not working and we need to switch the lines around,
Well Ruff is no stranger to mixing things up

Something as simple as say switching Pominville and Armia, or putting Ott back on that line could assist in the defensive responsibility enough, while still giving us 3 legit scoring lines

Would I rather get Iginla, Ryan, Perry, etc...
Sure
But that's prob not too likely

And I'd rather Armia get a shot than continue to see Hecht on that line

Exactly! This team has been doing the same thing for 15 years. Time for a new approach. LEt them take their bumps. Trade off Veterans. Mcnabb should be in Buffalo. Let him and Myers play 25 plus a night and learn the game. That is the best way to develop young players. Look at how edmonton is treating Shultz. HE is responding too.

Everywhere around town you cant escape the conversation about the obivous things that need to happen like fireing the coach and trading players. My thing is the Sabres should stop insulting the fans.

Back to my earlier point about season ticket holders.

Our season ticket base + the waiting list people, In my estimation make up about 107% of what the Sabres need to sell out season tickets. That means supply is much higher than demand. That means those who do have seasons have a lot of people they can sell tickets to at a profit, helping them pay for the tickets and justifying owning them.

If this team continues to suck, and management doesnt give the fans a reason to have faith in what they are doing, that will evaporate really quick. Evan a small drop from 107% to 93% could cause a d.omino effect. Season ticket holders cant sell them and make a profit anymore. Now they cant afford or justify them to the wifey...........and poof its 2003 again and I get 2 offers a week for free tickets that im really not inerested in.

Rant over.

- Buffalo--Sabres

I didn't see your earlier post so excuse me if I am missing a point. Not all season ticket holder buy to sell at a profit or to sell at all. I have had season tix for 4 years now and was on the waiting list for the 3 years prior. I rarely ever sell my tickets let a lone to make a profit. I either give them to friends, family, or clients or just go myself. I haven't missed a game yet this year. I am 32 and have been a fan since birth. Even if I lost my job I would still find a way to keep these tickets. It is very painful now but one day we might be good again. Every season ticket holder I know thinks the same way. You'd hate to "lose faith" and cancel your tix to miss out on the next great team.

I see tons of people post on FB and say that "the fans" are the problem because we buy the tickets. People say that until we stop no changes will be made. That is ridiculous. The owners don't like losing, management doesn't like losing, nobody does.

Also I think the waiting list is something ridiculous like 10,000. I don't see your percentages going down anytime soon.

The coach definitely needs to go. I have always liked Lindy but enough is enough. Trades would be awesome, but since we don't want them I highly doubt anyone else does. We just need a coach that can make the players we have play!

He also led the league in offensive zone possession. Everybody remembers the guy that hits 50 home runs....nobody cares if he struck out 150 times.

Maybe you are right. I just can't see it. The economy isn't good enough here for people to throw money away. You obviously make enough that you dont need to sell any seats, but many people I know with seasons justify it by making the extra cash.

Management is stubborn as hell and this teams sucks balls. Not even a few moves can fix it. I just cant see this Sabres fever lasting.

Also had only 60 pts. He had 25 more turnovers than anyone in the NHL. He's a great player but far from a guy who is going to play "system" hockey. He's like Ovechkin
edit he had a much better year than 60 pts. was looking at 10-11

I am in the market for some seats. I will be in Buffalo from 10th to the 23rd. Tight now I am going to the Penguins game. I wouldn't mind letting someone make a few bucks, but I want good seats. Center Ice-15 to 30 rows up.

Stub hub. I sat 8 rows from the ice blue line vs Toronto for $60. It was practically unheard of.

Miller really needs to prove that his is one of best players tonight and for the next couple days. We need a regulation win. Hopefully the other slugs can get their crap together and earn their paychecks.

I think I might have 5 more games left in me if we can turn this around. All the build up with this lockout and really killed me.

honestly.. i don't want us to win.. is it bad that i want failure so that it forces the hand of management to make changes? I am sick of mediocrity and the only way to buck that is through failure.. i will take a flop to change things rather than sitting in mediocrity for the next 5 years.

Nope, feel the same way. I could care less if someone thinks i'm not a real fan. I'm sick of being average. Who's in a better position? The Oilers who sucked for a few years, or the Sabres hovering around average finishes and draft positions
