Im not knocking the individual. Grigs has a bright future. Im knocking the organization for putting the kid in a far less than ideal situation with a coach who ruins players on a joke of roster. He needs to play with better players to teach him the game and build his confidence, not destroy it. - Buffalo--Sabres
If we can't trade for a scoring forward to play w him,
I'm hopeful that Armia will be over here after his season in Finland is over (about 3weeks left)...
He out produced everyone at the WorldJRs except Nugent-Hopkins,
So he certainly has the talent to help
Maybe he gels w Grigorenko and they become a line that can put some pucks in the net
I think he'll be a stud eventually,
So if we can't figure out a better option,
I don't see why we don't give him a chance
Put Ott on the 2nd line to win some faceoffs and Ennis & Stafford should benefit from not having to chase the puck around as much
Foligno-Grigorenko-Armia
Could be a really nice 3rd line |

He didn't say contract extended, just that Lindy was extended.
I was extended when I woke up this morning. No big deal. It happens. |

Funny I couldnt tell. He barley plays and his line never posses the puck. - Buffalo--Sabres
im sort of basing it on that he hasnt won a battle in the corner for a puck ever and doesnt really try.
i remember seeing him check someone the next shift after he scored his goal and it was so noticable because i dont think he has ever done that since/before |

Back to my earlier point about season ticket holders.
Our season ticket base + the waiting list people, In my estimation make up about 107% of what the Sabres need to sell out season tickets. That means supply is much higher than demand. That means those who do have seasons have a lot of people they can sell tickets to at a profit, helping them pay for the tickets and justifying owning them.
If this team continues to suck, and management doesnt give the fans a reason to have faith in what they are doing, that will evaporate really quick. Evan a small drop from 107% to 93% could cause a d.omino effect. Season ticket holders cant sell them and make a profit anymore. Now they cant afford or justify them to the wifey...........and poof its 2003 again and I get 2 offers a week for free tickets that im really not inerested in.
Rant over. |

Wow, I didn't know he was being sat... That's dumb
How do u think Loktionov fits into all this?
Seemed like another forward he'll have to compete with to get on the ice
Not sure what the Devils are thinking here? - jdfitz77
matteau didn't seem out of place when he was in the line up but after 5 games they wanted to take time to decide what to do and thought it would benefit him if he practiced with nhl players and to watch elias and zubrus play
Lou said his contract status will have no bearing on if he is sent down even though it will knock off a year
i think loki will start a few games in the ahl and then will be called up, he has the skill to be an effective nhl player he just has to put it down and get the chance
i can see something like
henrique zajac kovy
elias loki clarkson
zubrus josefson matteau

Brown?
That was before they made the playoffs and won the cup
I'm guessing the price would be even higher now
Any idea what they wanted?
I'm guessing they wanted Vanek & we were offering Stafford |

everyone needs to calm down we need to play at least 20 games and then we
can determine from there what the team needs. sabres are off to a slow start but they will wake up soon. i still think we will be either 6th 7th or even 8th seed. if we need any roster changes i would suggest making a trade with the kings and try to get dustin brown or somebody that holds players accountable for there play on the ice. - todd.manning
Slow start? Sabres have won FOUR playoff series in TEN years. It's been a slow decade.

so you'd like the sabres to miss the playoffs? a line of rookies will give up alot of goals and chances
they will get better as they get experience but that's when they play with teammates who have been around and are more responsible
i know armia is a scorer but it won't work out on a line like that this year

So we need to wait 20 games into year number 17 with this regime to determine what we need again? 5 years from now when R & R are still at the helm we will be having the exact same discussion. |

I know im really fixated on this and im sure its annoying people, but its been a slow decade and for some really were selling tickets at a record pace.
Put it this way, if I had tickets and I found out Enroth was in net, I would demand a refund. I used to get so pissed when I would go, the goalie wasnt announced and BAM its a Lalime game. Not even the same thing. |

everyone said that about kovy but he has put that to rest since last year and a lil longer when he really started learning devils hockey and brought into the system and took on more responsibility
he won't score 50 goals anymore but he is a much better player in all areas and is a difference maker even if he doesn't score |
|
|
|
I think Zemgus Girgensons would help this team....How long before he recovers from his concussion. Let him play. Who care if we lose this year. Get a top 3 pick-it's a great year to have one. Let the rookies develop with the big club. |
