Should we fail for McKinnon And trade nuge at the draft? - saskoil21
Hall looks like he is finally starting to be able to compete with men. I would be surprised if he continued to have injury trouble. RNH needs to grow into his body and he'll be fine. We'll be on the playoff cusp if this team continues to improve. We could easily be at the top of the division with a few more lucky breaks. Either way this team is not bad enough to finish in lottery territory.
I hate the refs as well, but the game is just so fast, and it looks a lot different on the ice than it does from television... I think hockey needs a new reffing system. Have a couple of refs on the ice (for dropping the pucks, and occasionally stopping a fight) but have penalties called from above... If a penalty/offside is noticed, sound a buzzer or play a whistle sound effect. - laughs2907
That's actually not a terrible idea. Although the human/mistake making factor always makes sports that much more interesting.
Having Whitney-Potter-Yak-Hemsky on at one time is basically begging for a loss. Yak is clutch in the offensive zone and on the PP, but everytime they put him out 4 on 4 in OT, they get scored on.
How about some (frank)ing luck with injuries!!! 4 of top 5 centres are injured!!WTF. How unlucky can EDm get?

I think someone needs to take a look at the strength and conditioning coaches. It's more than just bad luck. When a strong breeze can wipe out our top 6, it's not a big secret that there is something wrong there.

Youre totes right. Plus, Yak never scores any OT goals either.

If we keep our underwhelming captain in the pressbox, replace Whitney, and Dubnyk keeps playing decent...the Oilers are still good. I fully agree with Clouts that Schultz is more of a positive catalyst than many realize. Outside of our 6th Dman, the top 4/5 are pretty good. I like them. If one were to add an allstar DMan to this team and push the 6th man out, I would really like the look of our back end.
Krueger seems to be making a positive difference too.
Helm
Greg Campbell Abdeklader
Nokelainen
Brian Boyle
David Steckel
Are current NHLers getting less ice-time than they'd probably prefer. Helm and Boyle would be the best, but we'd have to give up an afwul lot. - JLO961

Can play centre or wing position. Probably would cost a late draft pick or offensive defenseman prospect. - deks1
hes had a bad couple games... gets benched one game and everyone thinks he's on the block. He's adds value to the rangers, doubt they dump him for a late round pick.
Rather try to aquire Gaustad from the preds, He has a bigger cap hit though
