Miss lovejoy. Shero did well to get a 5th for a guy that was probably going to be waived soon. Hope he finds a steady NHL spot. |

What's the scoop on Lovejoy, other than he's pretty big. Can he skate a little? - duxcup07
He'll fit into the bottom pairing, good teamate. Just don't let him eat peanuts.

I'm always happy to see guys move on and get a chance. A former linemate of mine has been boned for years and finally got his cup of coffee last year with 2 games. These guys work very hard to get a chance. Good luck to Lovejoy. |

Pretty decent return. Can't wait to see what defensemen we draft. Wish Lovejoy well, hope he finds a fit there. |

Everyone's favorite former Penguins defenseman, Alex Gologiski, is a healthy scratch tonight. |

5th round pick was good return. Wish him all the best. He's a good team player and should get more chances in a team I actually like. Dylan Reese is more than capable to replace him. now let's bring Clutterbuck/Clowe |

Rumor has it the Pens offered Lovejoy and Tangradi for a 6th and the Ducks countered with Lovejoy for a fifth.....
Love to take credit for that, but I stole it from some guy on the TIOPS blog |

Fair thee well Reverend.
FWIW, I voted for MAF, Bylsma and Despres.
If Bylsma is going to get blamed heaped on him when they lose, he deserves a star for a savvy time out when the Pens were teetering... |

It's fitting that the Lovejoy trade went down while I was asleep. Good luck t the guy. He's a good person but he just hasn't proven much in the NHL yet. I hope he figures it out in the West. Glad to get a 5th because him not playing and his play when he was doesn't add up to that. |

Ducks announcer says Lovejoy is big tough and physical. - Sell My Monkey
I've read sort of the same thing in some other places. Some idiot said similar stuff on the NHL Network. Maybe there's another Ben Lovejoy that got traded to the Ducks.
Big, Tough, Physical....... Um.... No.....No.........and No.
Serviceable 6th or 7th and a little prone to turnovers and bad decisions........Yes. |

Letang is loving this deal the Flyers gave Timonen. The money and timing of this leave me scratching my head. Why wouldn't they wait until the offseason to see if he holds up? Didn't think he would settle for 6 mill in the summer? |

I can't believe I'm about to say this...
I might be changing my mind about Paajarvi. He's played some inspired hockey the last couple of games. Still wouldn't give anything of value for him. |

He's a good player. He really just needs to find his role. He came over with expectations put on him by the team, fans and himself to be an offensive threat, but has had problems adjusting to the NHL. |

The timing and the cap hit are both bad. I don't think Holmgren is all that good at math. |

Ducks announcer says Lovejoy is big tough and physical. - Sell My Monkey
Lovejoy is not small at all. He's got the same height and weight as Orpik I think but to call him physical (only sometimes) and tough (hardly) is a stretch. He does play fairly well on the defensive side of the puck.
I guess Shero didn't want to repeat the Strait history all over again and loose a serviceable guy for nothing.
Good luck in the Ducks Lovejoy! |

Claudette Girouxlette was the one crying about his wrists after he was eliminated in last year playoffs. Good luck this year.
Edit: btw, hope Simmonds get well soon - Orpik44
Um yeah claude giroux a crybaby. if u read the philly reports someone asked him what happened to his wrist and he said " From Cindy Crysby whacking them on the faceoffs but hey its hockey and its the playoffs." Somehow ur area left the rest of that quote out. How comes he always cheap shots people from behind and pushes their gloves away? You never saw him accept a fight fromo Mike Richards when he was here did you? No. Enough said. |

Mike Richards all of a sudden is an imposing guy haha Do you really think Crosby was afraid of him?haha He's smart enough to know that he'll hurt his team being on the penalty box. If Richards was so tough and smart he would still be wearing a Filthy jersey but NO he had to get out of there to actually WIN a CUP. And sorry Giroux acted like a whinny b*tch blaming someone for his poor effort against NJ |

I never saw richards back down from anyone.. including the other night against the blue jackets when he stuck up for a teammate. Ive never seen crosby do that.. " i dont like anyone on their team there fans are mean why is it just not in philly he gets booed its everywhere. and its because he's a little sissy. Remember when Hatcher laid a big hit on him and everyone in pittsburgh booed... why because he cant take a hit? Go do gymnastics then. and giroux wasnt whining he simply stated his team didnt show up to play that series. simply said. |
