Hey Gunner- what the (frank) happened to Tyler Myers? He is a straight up liability these days.

What's changed though? He was as solid as they come when he broke into the league. When I watch him now he looks like a taller Tangradi with Phil Bourque's puck skills.

Anyone have seen this? Totally classless by Rinaldo (little wiener)...gave two hard punches when Crombeen was already done:

Seeing it from the stands I thought the same. However it turns out he was still on his way down. Rinaldo even asked the ref to make sure, and the ref cleared him. Mic'ed-up video here:

Seeing that vid actually makes him more respectable IMO.

You can boo him when he has the puck, boo him when he tries to talk to the refs, boo him when they announce his name, boo him when he dives or exaggerates contact, boo him when he gets away with a penalty.

That's all fine.

But you don't boo when someone gets injured. That's taking it way too far.

Glen Gulutzan just confirms that Alex Goligoski is a healthy scratch tonight.

I have always said this, its not SV% but quality of chances stopped that gives me my goalie.

MAF over his career has faced much tougher chances than most due to the style of play in front of him.

Im trying to think of another team with as many wins from their no 1 goalie with that style of play. He makes timely saves, not necessarily all the ones he should.

Don't see a problem with it regardless. People made it sound like dude was unconscious laying on the ice and he was punching him. Dude was trying to stand back up and he punched him again. Only one was "late" and even that is a far stretch.

His problem remains composure, not overplaying and getting carried away with his ability. It is these tendencies which have made him inconsistent. A defenseman can cover an error with speed. A goalie who plays the percentages must remain square and composed. He just gets out of position too much. It is much more difficult if you try too hard. His form is all I question. His agility is off the charts.

Who is Arcobello, and why is he centering Eberle and Hall tonight?
- canadianpenfan

RNH, Horcoff and Belanger are hurt. He centered them in OKC when RNH went the U20 WJC. He's offensive minded, he's little though.

That is what I compare it too. He knows that the team can score 5 goals, so if he lets in 4 it doesn't matter.

That's a descent return. I wonder if this is why Despres ended up playing last night...if there was some sort of deal being discussed for Lovejoy.

It also frees up a spot on the roster for Niskanen's eventual return and means Tangradi doesn't have to be moved. We can all go buy that #25 jersey now.

What's the scoop on Lovejoy, other than he's pretty big. Can he skate a little?

He's not big, not a great skater, not physical, and makes bad giveaways. He had one game where he scored, fought and got hit in the face with a McCabe slapper.

Doesn't play big, has a little trouble with physical forwards. Decent skater who moves puck ok. not afraid to join rush. Ok bottom pairing guy.

6-2 205. On the Ducks, that's big. Unfortunately this trade means that Cam Fowler probably isn't coming back for a while.

Pens once again get back to limit of one Dartmouth alumnus on roster.
