agreed, just can't get past the stupidity

Agreed. I'm glad that almost every comment was in agreement with those of us who see him play and not with the writer who is clearly trolling for page views.

True, however Pens fans at home will applaud when the player who is injured gets up and goes off the ice. Booing a player is one thing but booing an injured player is rude and particularly cruel, IMO. There is poor sportmanship and then there is BAD sportmanship. The Isles fans, though frustrated show their ignornace at booing a plyer who is hurt. Very bad.

Fair enough. I just don't want this fan base to look like fools when Giroux or Ovechkin are in similar situation at the CEC.

But yeah, for those that did boo, it is/was classless.

Yet no mention of his 200 wins or how he he stacks up against goaltenders who have started more than 400 games...

I don't look down on "Isles fans" for that. Every arena has yahoos.

Is that really considered a slew foot and spear?

- AncasterPens

It's definitely a trip. I don't think of that as a slew foot. You want a slew foot look at Subban on Neal or Marchand on Niskanen.

edit- never been to Pittsburgh but it seems pretty quiet too.
- canadianpenfan

You know I thought the first few home games were quiet then I went on Saturday and it was loud at the arena. However, people still said it seemed quiet on tv. Not sure if it is the micro phones or what.

Like Malkin. And unlike that crybaby Crosby, Giroux doesn't do that whining antics every game. And hides behind the refs. Giroux is better than Crosby. He owned that series last year. While Crosby just rides behind Malkin to win a cup. Who won the Conn Smythe? Thought so.
- Allstarzz

Watch more Flyer games, Giroux does his fair share of whining and crying. Giroux was good in the series against the Penguins he disappeared against the Devils.

As for your shot as his playoff performance Crosby scored 15 goals and had 31 points in the cup run. Its far from his fault that Malkin had 14 goals and 36 points.

Perfect examples and by much more controversial players when it comes to those sort of plays.

Who is Arcobello, and why is he centering Eberle and Hall tonight?

I stopped reading when I got to this in the second paragraph:
I’m writing this because Marc-Andre Fleury has been a disappointment throughout his entire career.

Yeah I think his nearly 230 career wins and usual consistency speaks for itself. I mean geez, Barrasso is a HOFer and Fleury as a Penguin is already past him with a long career ahead of him.

Can't believe those classless Flyers fans booed when Crosby got hit in the...oh wait, it wasn't Flyers fans? Nah, can't be, they're the only fans who would cheer a player being injured.

He played at Yale two years ago on its high flying line with Backman and the other name escapes me. Solid college player, but surprised he made it to the NHL.

Can't be surprised that Sid gets cheered when he gets hurt. In the modern era the hate and jealousy in people over ride compassion and human decency, sad but true. It happens in almost every arena.

Volchenkov was running Penguins (probably out of embarrassment) since that assist to Kunitz Someone needed to address it, unfortunately the Penguins don't currently employ a "policeman" for those types of situations.

I was going to say the same thing. What Crosby did was a classic trip. A slew foot is when you "high/low" a player.

A lot of movement around here for an off day. I guess the trolling by Flyers/NJ/Toronto fans worked.

Here's one for them: Kulemin for Tangradi/Lovejoy

They probably would propose Kadri for Bennett/Despres/1st Round pick.

Edit: BTW is Connolly playing for the Marlies?

I'm not surprised and I really don't care. I think there's a handful of rinks where that will happen and no surprise Sid has really good numbers against those teams.

I'm also not naive to think that all Pens fans would be respectful if Fartsmell got dinged up at CEC.

There are a handful of players that don't deserve our compassion. A few of them play for the Flyers...and there are always PK Subban slewfoots
