Guess I did miss it so now a slue foot isn't a good enough retaliation for one cross check or should he be drilled from behind as well ? give you head a shake you guys can't seriously think he acts like the face of the league or even the face of a franchise it's not just one or 2 lapses either he has had multiple incidents of just not being the bigger player but you can look at it however you want Crosby can't do no wrong in your mind
- blizzzard

There are obvious degrees of cross checks, and that was as nasty as it gets. Really shocked the stick didn't break.

Regardless... If Volchenkov rolls over one of our stars with the game decided, I'm glad our captain did what he did.

Pretty sad that people were booing Crosby for getting a puck in the face. Sure I'm as biased as the next guy when it comes to rooting for the home team but as a fan of hockey more than anything how could you wish bad luck or another head injury on a guy like Crosby? Disgraceful

Hope he is okay

GoGo and Benn for Niskanen.

Their GM probably has caller ID and when a 412 area code shows up, he curses and throws the phone off the nearest wall

That is debatable.

Certainly. He isn't going to blow your barn door open but he isn't the worst defenseman I've ever seen and he's an above average skater as well. Hope for his sake he isn't benched for long.

its because crosby is a cry baby and the whole nhl focuses on him when other players deserve some spotlight
- BernieKorch

HA like who Giroux? Sid isnt anymore of a cry baby than any other player is. " I had to get surgery because Sid is so strong and manly and slashed my wrists" said Claudette Giroux after the playoffs didnt he? Kate Smith ate Giroux's nuts.

I don't understand Calgary. During the '04 run the Dome was absolutely rocking. Outside of that run everytime i go to a game you can hear the players talking on the ice. It's so damn quiet.

Haven't been yet this year, the Blues next Friday will be my first.

Corporate town... Company seats. my company has a box and its about entertaining clients. Also, too many long term seasons ticet holders , cranky and cantankerous about all those young whipper snappers making too much noise.

He passes the eye test. Skates well, to passes well, shoots well. Problem is where he skates, where he passes, and where he shoots. Truly a maddening player to watch.

Just seen this or I would have responded sooner I can see that there are maybe safer ways of addressing that though I know Crosby might not drop the mitts with him or he might who knows but that could of been a dangerous play and you don't want to start a habit of doing stuff like that for retribution but Im not against what your saying about sticking up for team mates

True, however Pens fans at home will applaud when the player who is injured gets up and goes off the ice. Booing a player is one thing but booing an injured player is rude and particularly cruel, IMO. There is poor sportmanship and then there is BAD sportmanship. The Isles fans, though frustrated show their ignornace at booing a plyer who is hurt. Very bad.

Im not getting involved in the argument of who is the whiniest or the cheapest of Giroux and Crosby but Crosby does to stupid stuff just last game the Devils played you guys and Volchenkov ran over Malkin Crosby slue footed Volchenkov then speared him and to top it all off gave him a little shove while he was down his team is up 5-1 with minutes left in the game that is just classless and you can make any argument you like but he is still a cheap player he may not whine as much but he still has maturing to do
- blizzzard

Slew foot, speared and then a shove? You sound like Callahan on the Rags.
