its because crosby is a cry baby and the whole nhl focuses on him when other players deserve some spotlight
- BernieKorch

Like who? Giroux? He's done (frank) all this season. So much for being the best player in the world. Perhaps it was his wingers making him, more than him making his wingers.

Anyone cheering at that is an idiot. I was cringing when I saw it was Crosby as I was freaked out that he got hit in the head again, then I had to cringe because of the crowd reaction. Pathetic. Saw one fan say he booed because he thought Crosby was faking. Lame excuse. Love the Islanders but I love hockey over all of my affiliations. I want to watch the best players regardless if they are on my team. Saying it is only Nassau? That is a stretch. I remember seeing Fleury laughing his ass off at DP on Pitt. bench when Johnson broke his face which led to the infamous brawl later that season.Saw this happen in Montreal and Boston also when there were serious injuries. This kind of reaction has to go away everywhere.

Again, goalie fights don't happen too often ... I'm pretty sure MAF was laughing at the fact that fight occurred and didn't realize DP got as hurt as he did.

That said, cheering in every arena if Crosby goes down happens everywhere - Philadelphia, Boston - you name it. If that would have been James Neal, I doubt anything happens.

Giroux has proven to be a bigger crybaby, whiner and diver than Crosby over the past year. It's not that close.

Now if we could ever come up with Sid holding a Stanley Cup over his head, that would be just about as close to a perfect contrast as you could get......

I went Fleury, Despres and Sutter. All three had a hand in the ridiculous number of PKs plus both Despres and Sutter scored important goals in the long run.

Malkin can keep shooting. Eventually he is going start putting them in the net. The more he shoots the less he passes...just kidding

Bylsma, Martin and Glass also deserve honorable mention for PK work that was better than expected and the smart, but obviously needed timeout.

Funny I went to the Isles/Pens game last week and one of the guys we were drinking with asked why all Canadians booed Crosby when he comes to Canada? I'm shocked to learn it happens else where...

Thanks for including Bylsma John, I voted for him.

Fans everywhere are going to give it to Crosby every chance they get, everyone should get used to it. The ones who cheer stuff like that are just drunker and louder then the others.

Jagr and Hartnell. I think that Jagr helped Hartnell more than anything. Hartnell even mentioned it in an interview, and with those two going, it made Claudia's job that much easier.

With Jagr gone and Hartnell on the shelf for the foreseeable future, Giroux looks decidedly mortal.

Such a good point. Beat me too it sir...tip of the cap to you. If anyone has disappointed me to this point it has been him. He hasn't been shooting in the best situations. Sometimes throwing it at the net versus make a smart pass isn't the right choice. He also hasn't been working the same along the boards. I hope he improves or he may be part of something leaving Pittsburgh.

Like Malkin. And unlike that crybaby Crosby, Giroux doesn't do that whining antics every game. And hides behind the refs. Giroux is better than Crosby. He owned that series last year. While Crosby just rides behind Malkin to win a cup. Who won the Conn Smythe? Thought so.

The absence of Jagr has been noticeable. It's hard to imagine a 40 year old guy has that much effect, but Jags did a nice job of torturing us last year.

Even with that wonky groin.......

Any thoughts Powerhouse?

True, however Pens fans at home will applaud when the player who is injured gets up and goes off the ice. Booing a player is one thing but booing an injured player is rude and particularly cruel, IMO. There is poor sportmanship and then there is BAD sportmanship. The Isles fans, though frustrated show their ignornace at booing a plyer who is hurt. Very bad.

You're oh so right---not. Giroux whines and he cheap shots people. Devils series ring a bell? End of Pens series when he broke his stick like a petulant child. No player is free from disputing things but he's taken penalties when he's mad instead of skating away. Don't try and cover for him.

His groin is like a shredded hula grass skirt that was run through a wood chipper. Then used in macadam and run over by a 25 ton steamroller.
