I like that he doesn't lose himself in a Dan Carcillo sort of way. I think (or like to think) we've seen some good thing from Rinaldo, with respect to controlling himself.

He still gets some reputation calls, which bugs me, but I guess the only way to stop having them called is to have more of a history of self-control.

- johndewar

I agree. Carcillo would let his emotions take over his entire game. Rinaldo just loses himself in fights sometimes and a lot less often during 5 on 5 situations. He's already gotten much better with is self-control from a year ago.

I'll assume those things (I have no idea what they're supposed to be) are filled with beer. This is what the girls are doing at the sports bar in South Philly? I can only imagine that leads to a hot mess.

I'm starting to feel better about being an aging, married guy. Dealing with sloppy drunk chicks (not to mention the angry drunk guys who think they own them) is not something I'm up to any more.

Hahaha it makes for some amusing hockey convos before the game starts. I usually only go to live for like an hr before the game and sometimes maybe for a beer after. Though its much more fun before the game, its kind of like happy hr for hockey fans and the beer is cheaper then in the arena.

Obviously, Crombeen is on the way down when Rinaldo throws the last punch. I don't think it was egregious or something so awful that people need to be outraged.

- Jsaquella

I give ZR the benefit of the doubt on the first punch after he knocked Crombeen's helmet off because things happen fast. The punch after that is the one that I think Tampa took issue with. Can't say as I disagree with them as he was on his knees and fading fast to the ice.

That said, anyone not expecting some kind of retribution for that is just being naive. It's unfortunate for Talbot that he paid the price for ZR's actions.

I glance through them occasionally but just like on here it's the same community of people saying the same things day after day while taking shots at each other and their favourite Flyers targets. Unlike on here it's barely policed and the level of intelligence is at least two levels down.

That's a scary thought. If I have these levels figured out that means they're only 1 level above people that ask you to cut their cereal for them.

We could kick up the RYAB nonsense again, if you're looking to pass time/run up the post count.

I know. I miss the Bobby Ryan speculation.

Nothing to complain about.

Truth is, we can be as good as any team in the league. But I am assuming that we need to make a trade at the deadline, specifically at the winger position. That is my opinion only. Unlike some others, I think the D and Bryz can play quite well and lock down teams.

I don't like Coots on the second line. Doesn't make sense to me right now, other than out of necessity.

Simmonds seems ready for 2nd line duty. Voracek IMO should be on the right wing with Coots. Read on the left.

The pieces are in place. Just need health and hot goalie near playoff time.

Enjoy life. Enjoy your family. Enjoy hockey. No negativity.

Cheers!

Yeah, we are all relieved that we have first tier mods to crack down on that crap.

So what are your 4 lines with Hartnell out? With Hartnell back?

Most likely a joke referring to all our losses and that the board is usually busy.

The team is good but tweaks would be welcome in the next few months. Right now, they are more beatable then they have been in recent years. Bryz is going to have a slump at some point as well as per the nature of sports so hopefully the inconsistency on O and D will be figured out by that time.

Ok I won't. I read the comments last night and today and not 1 person has even made mention of this...

Why does nobody have a problem with Giroux taking a shot at the empty net last night, when he had the entire right side of the ice to skate the puck up to the red line? I have a feeling more people would be talking about that if TB tied the game after that icing.

He kind of handcuffed Stamkos there with 10 seconds left in the game. Maybe if he makes a good pass Stammer buries one to tie it. We'll never know but it's possible Carle helped secure that victory.

w/ him back

Harts G Anaheim Winger of Choice
Schenn Briere Simmonds
Read Coots Voracek

4th line crap. BTW, as I've posted here many times, I am a fan of Rinaldo and yesterday shows why.

The above assumes that we get near an 8 seed, depending on injuries.

People are down on Schenn but IMO you got to ride him through ups and downs.

If you're right than I would say he was either mentally tired, not aware, or still has a little cowboy in his game. I would guess the last one.
