I had a guy in my section who immediately yelled at Coburn for the lone TB goal. But I have to say I am much happier in my new section. Last year I was surrounded by people who I wanted to slap silly

Besides, it was Gervais who left the front of the net to make himself the third Flyer below the goal line.

Well thats just not the truth at all.

But lets not even go there.

We've made huge strides from where we started. Jefferson, as quoted earlier, was a slave owner, which is unthinkable now. Women couldn't vote not all that long ago and now that's a ridiculous thought as well. We still have a ways to go (i.e. with gay rights, workplace equality, etc.) but we are making progress from where we started. We are advancing appropriately IMO.

Teams are invited by the office of the president, not a political party. It's a pr thing to recognize athletic achievement. Most players attend regardless of their political views out of respect for the office. Not showing up with the rest of your team, is bush league because it's an indication that the individual thinks their beliefs are more important than a team function. I know that this will be difficult for some to hear but getting invited to the White House is a high honor and should be welcomed. A compulsion to make a political statement in these circumstances is not a virtue.

His protest wasn't of Obama you're right. His protest was of the government. I can't believe this was ever a big deal.

"I believe the Federal government has grown out of control, threatening the Rights, Liberties, and Property of the People.

"This is being done at the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial level. This is in direct opposition to the Constitution and the Founding Fathers vision for the Federal government.

"Because I believe this, today I exercised my right as a Free Citizen, and did not visit the White House. This was not about politics or party, as in my opinion both parties are responsible for the situation we are in as a country. This was about a choice I had to make as an INDIVIDUAL.

Curious to see Ryan Johansen get sent down by Columbus....hasn't produced much offense, but he has been playing pretty solidly.
- Jsaquella

Poor guy. For a team that sucks a lot, Columbus doesn't have much to show for it. Murray might be the end to that. Stuff like this only fuels the Penguins-winning-the-2005-draft-lottery conspiracy theorists.

Great trade the Stars made for Neal.

Glen Gulutzan just confirms that Alex Goligoski is a healthy scratch tonight.

Anyone want to venture a guess when Neal will be a healthy scratch for the Pens?

Holmgren might want to call them to see if he can get Jamie Benn for Gustafsson

Shero robbed them blind. 40 goal scoring power winger, for a guy who is being made a healthy scratch. Pathetic.

Rinaldo has stepped up for his teammates splendidly twice now. Simmonds, and Giroux. That doesn't go unnoticed.

Voracek as well. He may have been thinking of Giroux, but last night he tangled with Crombeen after he gave Voracek a shot

Goligoski was a valuable asset at the time and may rebound. The Stars had a number of good young forwards up front anyway. Hindsight is 20/20

It does look bad for Dallas, though....I thought they sold low on Neal anyhow.

Yep. I'm sure when Crombeen was running around like a fool back in TB a mental note was made. That is if Rinaldo is capable of making a mental note.

His interview is hilarious. But he's done a good job of staying out of trouble this year.
