Hopefully the verbal assault from the angry Sharks fan is over. The hit on Mayers was borderline. Had he just skated in a straight line and not tried to propel himself into Jamal, no penalty. There was an obvious upward surge in his body when he hit Jamal. Bottom line is that every team is the subject of borderline penalties. Some obvious some not. As for the game, CC looked off the 1st period. Then he settled down and shut the door. Great win in a hostile rink. The entire Hawks team looked motivated. Great sign to come back from being down 3-1 to a good Sharks team. Seemed like there was more energy start/finish with the Sharks then the Nuckers. That would be a great playoff series. I detest Thorton for the cheap shot BS player he is. No Show Joe. He earned that rep. Enjoy the ride. This is a darn good team wearing the Idian Head.

Everyone knows in real time the hit that was put on Mayers will be called the way it was called. The refs dont have replay.

The actual advantage was a 1 minute Hawks PP. Thats it.
Momentum= fairy dust.

Plus Keith was lost for 17 minutes.

The bone head play of the night was Niemi playing the puck into the restricted area. Wtf lol ?

If the Hawks win 1 of these 2 last road games this will be an amazing feat of wins cinsidering they had the toughest schedule to start the year.

A 7 game homestand isn't ideal in my view...Very easy to get too comfortable.

Keith was actually lost for 19 min. What was impressive was that the D-core played great, never noticed Keith's absence. The top D-core in the league, very deep.

YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! but why can't he bring it every nite? doesn't he realize guys are coming up behind him and this is a $$ year? not saying you want him to beat people up but just rather be a wiener to play against like hartnell, LeClair, Ott & others! you tell me. it would be ashame if we have to trade prospects for something we could fix in house. same with #25!
