Of course he didn't, genius.....He has to toe the company line...

The proof is in the video & the NHL owning up to the fact that they made a mistake.

And how would he know where he got hit since Desi flattened him & he was loopy for a few minutes afterwards?

- Team_Teal

I'm still trying to wrap my head around how this one play caused the Sharks to:

- Lose a 2 goal lead at home
- Lose Desjardins and the Hawks lose Keith and can't capitalize
- Believe for certain the Sharks would score against one of the better/best PK teams in all of hockey this season

Point blank: The Hawks were the better team last night. It's OK for Shark fans to admit that.

Hey dumb ass, I was just quoting what Mayers said. I wasn't making the arguement that he did or didn't.

You're so eloquent. Thanks for proving my whole point. I NEVER expected you to agree, unless you're willing to see that sometimes you're team has a bad night. You don't have to agree, I just wanted to pop your little delusional bubbles and let you know that there is a real world out here. I know that not all Hawks fans are delusional, but this board has yielded a few

Some advice, which I'll repeat from page on this thread with a much smaller number.....

As hockey fans, which one of us can claim we haven't been "screwed" by a questionabe call? Be thankful to the hockey gods when things fall in your favor, understand it when they don't. You'l maintain sanity, and lower blood pressure.

If I'm a Sharks fan this morning, I'm worried more about where Thronton and Marleau disappeared to last night, than questionable calls. Somethings in hockey can be controlled, others can't. It's the nature of the beast, and what makes the game such a compelling watch.

And believe me, nobody on this board is sticking their noses up about this team. We all know they're flawed. Stop by more than once and gain some perspective before going all bull-in-a-china-shop. To quote another fine film - "You never open your mouth, 'til you know what the shot is."

Then why would you bring it up and call us whiner about the hit. If you also said you could see our point about being upset about it, I missed it, and that would change the dynamic entirely, but you went straight to calling us whiners of a call that was deemed a bad call by more than just Sharks fans
- corvusmd

Funny! Double standard much? I'm sure all of Sharks nation would be just fine if one of their players was scrambled like Mayers was...Clearly a charge to the objective eye, and at full speed, looked like a dangerous illegal head shot! Hence the call on the ice! Reading is fundamental genius!

Who was controlling the puck when Toews stole the puck and passed it to Kane for the game winner???

Yeah the Sharks did, just before the take-away

And what reality and history shows is 2 points for the Hawks in this one. Go take a hike and hug a tree out there.

Toews just plays the game the right way all of the time. He never takes shifts off, he play in all 3 zones, he plays clean and hard at the same time, and he makes players around him better because of his compete level. He is a throwback in every sense of the word. That steal and setup to Kane was textbook fundamentals on how to pick somebody's pocket without drawing a penalty. He is a wonderful hockey player that is only going to get better. Sometimes I shake my head, and realize he is only 24 years old. The kid just flat out was born to be a hockey player. I don't think there is anybody in the NHL I would trade him straight up for. Just a special player that only comes around once in a great while. Yes, he is my all-time favorite Chicago athlete, with Jordan second and Chelios third. Like Chelios or hate him, the guy was the ultimate warrior that would poke his own mother's eye out just to win a game.

One would think that "every spring since inception" would imply they don't ever make the playoffs at all, brainiac, which they have for the last several seasons. So, i'm not sweating your attempt at a dig (or your "blogger's"- and I use that term very loosely- when he mentioned the "whining" out of NorCal...he's apparently striving for the M. Barry quality of blogs by baiting the losing team's fans with those types of comments).

But hey, you have to take your pot shots, much like Jammer took his last nite, right?

You stay classy, Chi-town.

Bit of everything in my opinion. On 2 of the 3 goals, I swore the Sharks looked like they were on a Power Play.

Or he's calling that exactly correctly - some of your fanbase is whining and crying about a non call when the player actually put himself in that position to have a controversial call made against him. Couple that with the fact that the Sharks blew a two goal lead, weren't the best team on the ice and didn't play against Duncan Keith for the majority of the 2nd.. that's why he's calling it as it is.

Here's what you do..

1)Put on your Dany Heatley jersey
2)Locate your balls
3)Then gently chill them on some ice

Or, they can look at Bertuzzi and think, you know what, I will get a contract anyway. Why is is still even allowed in a stadium is beyond me.
