Ya he would be awesome there. Same as Pitt. If he does get traded, I hope it's to either of those teams.
- The-O-G

Boston shouldn't want to trade with any Canadian teams except Toronto.

Pittsburgh has roughly 7 good defensive prospects and their high round picks. They can't possibly want to use Sid to see how many goals Pascal Dupuis can score, right?

Please do but at least make educated comments. Not ignorant, conformist and just plain dumb comments. You want to trash the Flames then, that's fine, we can take it, just don't be stupid; show an ounce of intelligence.

I don't hate the Flames. I just don't think there team is good enough to make the playoffs and while they have a couple of good prospects, I don't see them making any big leaps in the standings the next couple of years without trying to make some moves. The Canucks will be good for another couple of years. The Oilers are going to be terryfing probably by next year, and the Avs with guys like Duchene, Landeskog ect will be on the upswing.

I dont see them trading Laughton for a rental...Thats the thing people have to remember about iggy...He is a short term fix...Maybe I am naive, but I really think Homer is going to grow this team with the young players. Not the trade every piece we have for veterans passed there prime like the old days. I personally wouldnt trade Laughton for Iggy. Eventhough I am a huge iggy fan and would love to see him here
- nonpoint22

But doesn't your owner want a championship now? Laughton is expendable with Coutourier and Schenn. Would you trade Laughton and your 1st for a cup (I realize there are no gaurantees but just a hypothetical)?

iggy? i'd love him in Boston.
- Fountain-San

Thats what I always loved about iggy...he was a west coast player that was perfect for the eastern conference style.. Perfect fit for NYR BOS PHI PIT ETC

Yeah but iggy doesnt win us a cup...we have more problems on our blue line...If there trading Laughton I would hope its to Phoenix for a offensive d man

If I was Homer I wouldn't make any trades unless I completely (frank) over the other team...This off season there will be tons of great options for FREE!

Doan is a beauty. He's put that whole PHX organization on his back. Give me a team of 20 Doan's and we would win the cup.
- The-O-G

I think he is very over rated. I can't believe the money he was looking for this year.

Have been dealing with a vicious case of the flu, so thanks to all our loyal readers for bearing with me over the last few days.... I'm currently chasing a hot rumor about a Western Canadian team honing in on an impact forward from the New York Islanders.

I don't understand the point of a rumor website if we're not told what the rumor is... Why not say it's Taveres to Vancouver or whatever and call it an E1?

Out of curiousity, what would you be willing to trade for him?
- TandA4Flames

me? some hockey cards, not my ray bourque rookie, and some old gear i don't use.

peter chiarelli, i'm sure, would have to move a number one pick, and at least jared knight, ryan spooner and a roster player. chris kelly? rich peverley?

good question though given iggy's age and everything.

I agree, I don't see the Flames making the PO anytime soon without some significant moves. But, I don't think they need to "blow it up" like so many like to say. The record doesn't show it but they have been playing well and Cammi and Iggy have not really factored into it. Although Iggy has played decent enough, just no puck luck.

I also agree that VAN has a couple of years but they are, unfortunatlely, following in CGY's path. Gillis should be looking to improve their drafting/prospect depth like we only recently have. Hopefully for you guys he somewhat addresses that with the whole Luongo/Schneider thing.

Have you watched any of the Flames games? They have been looking better and better with each game. They pushed the almighty 'Nucks to OT and just out shot CHI 47-19 and scoring chances were something like 20-6

We don't need to blow it up but we could stand to make a few trades to aquire picks and prospects. Stop following the crowd by saying "they need to blow it up!" That is getting soooooooooooooooooooo old!!!! Watch the damn games.

- TandA4Flames

i've watched all the flames games.... you need to blow it up, Quantity of shots doesn't reflect Quality, if it did you wouldn't be in last

Iggy value is also hurt by the great free agent class to come cause obviously if certain players wont resign by trade deadline then better option on market and teams know how strong the class is this summer..

Holy crap, I just thought about your team with Iggy on it. That is a big, scary top 6. Having Iggy would likely put you guys back to the top. Overall, how is your D?

I don't see how that makes you better. I thought the Avs were gonna be legit this year. Although, I thought the same about the Wild

Has to be the Oilers. They just lost both their vet centers who can win a faceoff.
