What about Duchene...would you keep him or dump him? - nonpoint22
I've never been a huge fan. I had hoped that Hedman would be on the board because, to me, it was possible that the Islanders would do like they do and select Igor Bobkov 1st overall leaving Tavares.
After that I was just really sad for days that they picked Duchene. I really hoped they would pick up Ekman-Larsson. Or Rundblad. Or Ryan Ellis. I was really sad. They left Silfverberg on the board, too. |

I dont disagree I just think there really not alot of options and the one thing that is really true in Eks post (which I feel weird admitting something is right) is that Phoenix is in prime position cause they have what everybody wants and they dont need to do anything - nonpoint22
I just think that the off season will give Homer the time he needs to figure things out with UFA/RFA or possible trades... |

It's the best news I heard today... |

Last season rumors of KO to Oilers were pretty hot. Now? I dont think they'd offer much for him.
Bailey and Nino (not yet) are't impact forwards. JT is cemented on LI for 6 yrs. That leaves on Moulson as our only other impact forward. I doubt its him.
Although some my consider Grabner with his speed an impact forward. Until he regains his scoring touch. I dont. - SCLI
Take off bold, bro. |

To Phoenix: F Alex Ovechkin
To Washington: C Martin Hanzal, F Mikkel Boedker, D David Runbland, 1st Round Pick '13, 2nd Round Pick '14
To Phoenix: $ 90M to pay for his contract - AlfieisKing
They don't need $90M to pay for Ovi's contract. Their attracting 9000 fans a game, that should give them plenty of money to take on salary |

Because he's obviously making it up. |

Why the F would Iggy wave his NTC to go to the Isle. He "MAY" approve a trade to a 'Legit' contender. Sorry, NYI are not there. - TandA4Flames
Sorry, they have the 5th best PP, the 3rd best PK, and have been top 3 in goals scored in the NHL for most of the season, with Evgeni Nabokov in net. They're a playoff contender. |

Why build a team and let them learn how to win when you can just take it from Nashville, then sign goalies and Brieres to ridiculous long term front loaded contracts? |

Washington is in 15th place in the east, and they are only 3 points out of the playoffs. I'd say every team in the league is a playoff contender at this point... Well except Toronto of course. |

Your team is going to finish in the league bottom 5 again this season, and probably next season. Nino Niederreiter already wants out. Okposo hasn't developed very well in 7 years. NY Islanders have picked in the top 5 for 4 straight drafts, top 10 for 6. You once picked Tim Connolly 5th overall. The only other time I have seen this many top picks amount to nothing is when the NY Islanders had 11 top 10 picks in 7 years, including 2 #1s and a #2. In only 7 years NY Isles were back in the top 10 picking order, and don't forget they traded down from 5th overall. Your team is the reason players secure 'no trade" clauses in their contracts. |
